I don't think she liked being called a slut, I don't know why...some women are just funny like that.

About Me

Lately I have been dissatisfied with the letter M. I think that's all you need to know.

My Interests

Absurdity, logic, relativism, pretty dresses, conversation, and reading about stuff.

I'd like to meet:

People with hidden talents. Or blatantly displayed talents.

Music:

I refuse to be judged on my aural skills.

Television:

C.S.I. Miami is by far the best C.S.I., but the Jerry Orbach Law & Order is the superior Law & Order. I take Project Runway as seriously as some people take post-season baseball. I will watch post-season baseball, but I won't take it as serously as Project Runway. I am forever on the lookout for Joe Schmo 2 on dvd. If anyone can procure a copy, or let me know how to procure one, he or she will be my hero.

Books:

Everyone over the age of, well, youngish, should be required to read "Pornified." I pretend I've read more Simone de Beauvoire than I actually have, which is no fault of her own. Let's see... Jeanette Winterson, Susan Isaacs, A.A. Milne, Richard North Patterson (authors, not books). What may distinguish my book list these days is the absence of Harry Potter. Any of them. I'm not against Harry Potter, I've just never picked one up.

Heroes:

Groucho Marx, Gene Wilder, Steve Martin, Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Monty Python, the Muppets, Katharine Hepburn, George Gershwin, Ghandi, and my mom. And of course, Matt McKenna (See Television)

My Blog

"You are like the beautiful cat I never had."

(aka) You would think by now I would know how to talk to drunk people.  But alas... Last night, around 2 in the a.m.  Drunk Guy (who, in the style of Rolling Stone, will heretofore be k...

This makes me sad

I met him this summer.  He was the one bright light in a horrible show.  He was gracious when he didn't have to be.  He was my age.   http://www.playbill.com/news/article/111324.ht...

Apologies to the city of New York for this mornings commuting debacle

I have come to understand that this morning's horrendous delays and general commuting mayhem, were, however indirectly, my fault.  Clearly I am not meant to get to work on time, and all the force...

Best Birthday Ever! (No, it wasn't mine.)

Once upon a time, we threw Allie a surprise party for her birthday. A grand suprise it was, indeed. Shortly after her arrival, Fred emerged from Natasha's closet in full Red Hot Chili Peppers regali...

Honesty is the best policy, unless you work at Barnes and Noble

When I got to the checkout, the clerk asked, "You don't happen to have a membership card, do you?" "No, I do not," was my reply. Clerk:  "Well, you probably don't want one, because it costs $25...
