Bio:
Hard Liquor Band is a professional, high energy South Florida cover band specializing in Classic Rock and Hard Rock. They play a wide range of popular rock songs spanning from the 60's to today. Hard Liquor Band is available for booking at Private Parties, Corporate Events, Bars, Restaurants as well as Non-Traditional Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs (for those who would like to really rock out on their big day).
Previous to winning Best Local Band 2007 in Miami Herald's Hotlist, Hard Liquor Band was voted Best South Florida Local Band- Runner Up, in the Herald's Hot List 2006 by their great fans.
Hard Liquor Band was featured on Fox's Deco Drive, and Telemundo television at John Martin's St Patty's Weekend Street Fair 2007 on Miracle Mile- Coral Gables, FL.
In the beginning...
Gil Lima, was one of the founding members of the band 4 years ago, and later on Lucci Tedesco joined on bass. Ironically they went to grade school together in Brazil and hadn't seen each other for many years since moving to the US. The small world stories don't stop there! Guitarist Jon Doranz was Lucci's teacher in college and had a common thread of music. They stayed in touch, and would always run into each other at rock concerts and restaurants and one day Jon was asked to join the band after a great jam session. Vocalist Mike Goldin is the most recent member of the band, he met Gil at the gym and gave him a demo tape after which they knew he was the man for the job. Jon and Mike instantly bonded, both being Jersey boys. One thing they all agree on, is that beyond the music they are all close friends and that adds to the great chemistry on stage (as well as off stage) which makes Hard Liquor Band even stronger.
If you haven't seen them live, what are you waiting for? Come out and join them for an unforgettable night of your favorite rock songs! Seen them already? Let's make this party bigger, please tell your friends! See you soon.

Band Members: History in Pics:
Mike Goldin: Lead Vocals
Mike is the newest addition to the band (June 2007). Born in Belarus (former Soviet Union), he moved to the US in 1979 to Connecticut briefly then on to New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey, then moved to Chicago before hitting South Florida. He is also Chiropracter in his other life...and yes ladies he's single! He also loves his two dogs. His outgoing personality makes him a natural frontman. Mike sings a wide range of music styles and authentically replicates many vocalists, however you will definitely find Janes Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Blues Traveler on his iPod! C'mon out and see him tear it up on stage!
Mark Funk: Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals
Mark Funk (yes that’s his real name) was born in New York & moved to sunny south Florida in 1984. He started playing Guitar at age 13 & played in various Rock & R&B bands & and was gigging, recording & doing small tours by age 20. At 28 he took a break form the music biz to pursue a career in IT. After a six year hiatus Mark came back & is in full force! He is always looking for a good jam & enjoys meeting other good guitar players! He runs a website called www.sickguitar.com where Guitar players can all network & show there stuff. He also writes instrumental Guitar music which can be found at www.myspace.com/funkmark. Mark enjoys tearing apart guitars & building them to be better. His gear consists of custom Stratocasters & Marshall Amps. He lives at home in Cooper City with his wife Laura & works for the school board during the day as a Telecommunication’s Technician.
Gil Lima: Drums
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Gil began playing drums in college. Soon, he gathered his best friends and formed a retro rock band called “The Wood-faces” (Caras de Pau in portuguese). Since then, Gil's drums talents had been sitting in the oven waiting to come out again. Now, he has his chance to make his dreams of playing in a rock band come true without interfering with his full time job as an Art Director at a large adult publishing company in Florida. Gil's favorite movie is The Warriors "Can you dig it?"
Luciano "Lucci" Tedesco: Bass, Backup Vocals
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Luciano began playing bass at 12 years of age in his first band "Dose Dupla". Song writer and founder of several bands like Baboreen, H2O and Missionario Zen, Luciano found success with several hits playing on the radio in the South of Brazil. He has produced three albums in his career with all original songs. The first one, Capsule, is an instrumental album that emphasizes Bass Guitar, the second album recorded with his band Missionario Zen in 1996, and his last album called "Filho da Patria" (Son of the Nation) was recorded in his home studio in Florida in 2001. Luciano joined Hard Liquor on November 2004 as a bass player. Bass Idols: Stuart Hamm and Billy Sheehan. Outside of the band Lucci owns a successful Internet Publishing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company.
