ABOUT CHRIS MARTIN
Chris Martin is a man who's music production and natural writing style is motivated by what he does, sees and hears not only in his but in other peoples life. With the release of both collaborative and solo material over the last 3 years Chris has been able to craft his music into a unique imaginative sound of reality.
He describes his music as a mixture of personal reflection and innovative sound with a motive. His descriptive use of wordplay and song writing tells stories and express's feelings with a use of a dynamic, stable and sometimes spray-can flow that either molds with or jumps out of the production.
As well as his own work Chris has produced for many other artists in all genres of music including Jae Prodigy, Parmit, Dru T, Inspekt A' Rhyme, KC, P Cliff, Trixie Slit and many others. Also he has worked on collaborations with artists such as Nonsense, Incisive, Deverlish, Emcee Squared and many more.
When producing he will make music of any genre and gets down what is in his head at that time. He has a Akai MPC 2000xl at his fingertips to construct the beat and a MicroKorg to bring the technological bass-lines and melodies. He will tell a story through his music with or without vocals.
Chris Martin is also the owner of a independent record label that have been developing since 2005 with releases of CDs, organizations of Internet radio stations and have also promoted for or held various live music events around the country.
In 2008 he has released a mixtape called 'People Wonder What Happened' which consists of tracks he has produced for over artists over the last 12 months and it also features exclusive material from himself, Nonsense, Parmit, Deverlish and Inspekt A' Rhymes. Also Nonsense and Chris Martin are set to release there mixtape 'What Happens Next...' very shortly/ It will be the last full project the duo work on and it features 16 tracks with production by Chris Martin with some additional production By Deverlish. And features the tracks 'Move Forward' 'When You Call w/ Laurie Webb' 'Get Up Now' and 'One More Day'.
