About Me

I'm not tired, cynical and jaded any more. I'm lean, clean and serene. I got my Buddha on, baby.

My Interests

Bags; men with tatoos (but not more than two); bullet proof vests; FBI agents; clouds; ice pops; bung biddlying; more bags; hair scarves; the sun being out; America; more bags.

I'd like to meet:

We made this in a moment of boredom backstage on the Billy Bragg tour.Life on the Road

Music:

currently Laura Veirs, Peaches, Little Dragon and Midlake. Also Bjork, My Brightest Diamond, Karen Dalton, Wallis Bird, Get Well Soon, Sol Seppy, John Martyn, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Gillian Welch. And, naturally, The Spice Girls (when they were good. No really, they WERE good once. In a kitschy, unable-to-sing kind of a way)

Movies:

Magnolia, Buffalo 66, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (the greatest film since Citizen Kane), Central Station, Les Jeux Interdits, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Television:

24, Numbers, Bones, Alias and other single-word-titled spy-murder-forensic-thriller type stuff. And Spaced. Currently obsessing over 6 Feet Under all over again. Has there ever been a better show? No.

Books:

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, and Everything Is Illuminated (also by Jonathan Safran Foer). The God of Small Things, Antonia Fraser's Mary Queen of Scots

Heroes:

People who aren't conceited despite high achievement
