About Me

It all started long ago, in the late sixties, with Ferenzik The Lad, obsessing over a few Beatles records. Then with his newly grown egg-tooth popping out, Ferenzik The Player came out on stage in the seventies, wielding the unwieldiest of instruments, the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano. Gig upon low-paying gig followed, from polyester suited cover band to funky overalls on the bandstand. It was heaven; it was hell. Then, the Eighties arrived like a cold air mass down from the Canadian plains, and Ferenzik soon found himself struggling with artistic questions of the deepest sort. "Should I go with the skinny tie and thrift store suit, or just go with the rugby shirt and boot fit jeans?" All this over a Linn Drum backbeat with little or no feel. Finally a breakthrough: An original CD of pent-up fusion called *** Wild Man Of Borneo *** that once and for all demonstrated that "cinematic instrumental fusion" could indeed be compelling. And then there were follow-ups. A couple of high-profile gigs with people like Todd Rundgren and The Jefferson Starship. A few more CDs released independently of Ferenzik-ian musings ranging from Power Pop to Jazzbo Obscurity. What else? IT'S STILL HAPPENING! (Oh heck, just go check it out.)
