TT THE ARTI$T KEEPIN IT REAL INTERVIEW"LYFE" TT THE ARTIST MIXTAPE MUSIC VIDEONEW MUSIC VIDEO "KEEP MOVIN" TT THE ARTISTOFFICIAL MIXTAPE MUSIC VIDEO FEATURING TT THE ARTi$T" I was never one to label myself or put myself in a category…I simply call myself an artist."MIXTAPE AVAILABLE NOWFrom sketchbooks to rhymes, emerging female "raptress" Tt prepares to "paint the world with visual language…" Through metaphors, symbolism, and catchy hooks this hip hop artist puts a spin on the ideas of social, conscious, and popular language and imagery perceived in the hip-hop community. It was in high school when Tedra Wilson, born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, would write her first sixteen bar rap. A college-graduate with a bachelors degree in Fine Arts and a concentration in video, Tt postponed pursuing her career in music to make education her number one priority. While attending The Maryland Institute College Of Art in Baltimore, MD, Tt became very involved within various community projects and student organizations within the Baltimore Community. It was in Baltimore, where Tt would find a second home and begin to tap into her desire to express herself through the many creative outlets that interests her. By the end of her junior year of College, Tt earned a place as an intern at MTV Networks in New York, New York, where she found herself interested in both elements of production on and off camera. Following her return to Baltimore, Tt showcased her vocals by performing at local venues along the East coast. "I never want to limit myself…or my creativity…educating myself equipped me with the knowledge to navigate and control many of my own projects as an artist.""To compare myself to another artist would be detrimental to my growth…I feel that everyone is unique in their on right and no music is irrelevant."As a southern native, Tt has often been steered to follow the direction of many south hip-hop artists. Although you will find a "snap yo fingers" and "A two step" groove in Tt's music don't be to quick to put this artist in a box. Definitely, The sky is not the limit for Tt as she firmly believes that she was given a gift to relate to people through her art and music."I decided to make music because it influences my art and vice versa…I listen to all genres of music and as an artist I enjoy variety in sounds…the south is in my roots, but I consider myself to be versatile." As a new artist Tt's style and delivery has been compared to some of the hottest male and female emcees, however it is her approach to making music that places her amongst the best. "I like to work with conceptual ideas and integrate them with stories and life experiences…I think abstract and most importantly add the element of play to my music." Like many artists Tt likes to pulls from real life experiences. "Growing up southern comfort wasn't always comfortable…especially when mommies eyes are purple and blue." As a witness of domestic violence Tt makes a conscious effort t o let her audience into her most intimate thoughts and emotions. "You never know what your gonna get…and everything isn't what it seems at first glance…" Tt looks forward to establishing a place in the music industry and making commentary and social changes as a female artist. She hopes to someday fulfill her responsibility as an artist by reaching out across the world and making a difference in the industry through performance, art, and music. "I have a lot to learn about the industry as a business…but experimenting and experience is vital to the growth of an artist, so I know I will do just fine."CHECK OUT myspace.com/houseoft for latest updates on MUSIC by Tt THE EMCEE myspace.com/ttsart to see Original Art by the Artist Tt
