He has IT in abundance & his ability to turn a hitherto unaware crowd into a roomful of believers is a thing of beauty. Born 26 years ago into a family of musical lineage, it was second nature for him to pick up a guitar and play. However, just how stunningly well songwriter Colin James Murphy would be able to turn your head with a word, a line, or a note sung just so, no one could have predicted. After a 3 year college course in music technology, he met up with 3 local musicians who asked Murphy if he would be the lead singer of their band 'Music Of Kid Audio' a.k.a. MOKA. MOKA were a 5 piece indie/rock band & performed on some of the finest stages in Scotland, including Glasgow's Carling Academy (national battle of bands final), Princes Street Gardens Edinburgh (broadcast live on cable t.v. & online), & BIG in Falkirk arts festival alongside performers such as Mcfly, Mark Owen, & Deacon Blue. Murphy used this time to hone his skill as a performer. When the band decided that musical differences would lead them their separate ways, Murphy stepped out as a solo artist. Colin James Murphy is currently writing a body of work destined to be his first album. Heads will turn - toes will tap... You have been warned!
