About Me

Hi, My name is Frank and I'm the leader of the DICHAN band. I compose, sing, play the piano and the bass. DICHAN is a pop/rock trio band which music is inspired by our favorite artists like Sting, Coldplay... In the end of august you'll be able to listen to our music that we recorded lately. I'm working as a composer with BMG in France and compose for other artists as well. Feel free to ask any question or add your suggestions!

Influences: I love many styles of music. This diversity was integral to my musical education. I grew up listening to my older brothers music : Supertramp, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Dire Straits, Doobie Brothers... At the same time i studied classical music (Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Brahms, Mahler are my favorites ) and jazz (Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Charlie Parker, Bill Evans).Later I discovered the world of pop (Toto, Police, Sting, Michael Jackson), soul (Stevie Wonder, the music of the Motown, Al Jarreau) and rock (David Bowie) and french pop (Michel Berger, Michel Jonasz). I love all those bands but I think that my favorite musician will remain Stevie Wonder because he's just good at everything : great singer, amazing keyboard, drums and harmonica player, unbelievable composer (he combines the rythm of african music and the melodies of european composers so well).Right now, I'm listening a lot to : - Radiohead .... all the CD's!!! - Corine Bailey Rae who I discovered this year... great great artist, also great album - Kean. I deeply enjoy the sound of their band and their composition - The .... Beatles! I'm discovering their music again.
