After Tom's departure from Operation Pantelones , he decided to start a new band. Something fresh. His new found love for old school punk rock such as Rancid and Operation Ivy inspired him to new heights. Thus, The Pediatriks were born. Tom recruited friends Joey Schwegler and Nate Atkison to perform. They were consistent, and practiced almost every single day until the day of their first and last show. Once again during Scottsdale Worship Center's youth service. The place was packed and The Pediatriks rocked the set, complete with fists in the air, pogo jumps, and tons of Oi's. Former Operation Pantelones drummer Rob Hunter was quoted as saying to bassist Tom Damante "You have restored my faith in punk rock."
So, WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Tom is currently a student in Texas, pursuing his career in student ministries.
Joey is still in Scottsdale, and has since played in the worship band Nobility Obliged , and is currently playing in Violet Wild , whom recently scored a spot on Edgefest's local stage and more recently opened for Hoobastank.
Nate is in Scottsdale as well, and has been the frontman of various bands and projects such as Solve For Why and Street Called March. He also played with Nobility Obliged for one year.
