William C. is me, Will. I make beats/produce/make music/whatever else you want to call it. Why do I do it? Not for the money. Not for the fame. Money and fame would be great, don't get me wrong. This is my addiction. Without music my life is empty and worthless. That is why I've become so passionate in making this my full time job. I want to prove to the world (or what feels like the world) that you can do what you want to do with your life and nobody can stop you if you're good at it.
I've been making beats for about 4 or 5 years now, but I started when I was about 4. My dad brought home a set of hand-me-down drums. I distinctly remember only 2 of the 6 drums were of the same brand. I developed rhythm early in life and picked up the guitar at around age 12. My entire life I've been around music. My mother (although she won't admit it) is an incredibly talented piano player, and my dad can play anything he picks up (currently fixated on the bass guitar, don't ask me why... waste of talent.) Both of my sisters can sing but you'll never hear them do it unless they think nobody can hear them. It's a shame. My family alone is proof that people are afraid to push their talents to the limit. I refuse to believe that I can't do whatever I want to do musically and in life in general.
A few months ago, my track for the Shade 45 "Jimmy Crack Corn" Remix contest (via youtube in video below) took a spot in the top 5, which to you might not mean much. But yeah, that's kind of a big deal. The studio is in full effect, the inspiration is plentiful, and the game will be changed... believe it.
