Are ghosts real? I have assembled some of the best minds in the paranormal field to find out the answer. Along for the ride is John Zaffis, a demonologist with over forty years of experience in dealing with some of the most terrifying demonic cases on record. He is THE EXPERT. We are also joined by Scott Morrow, a well-respected, no-nonsense ghost hunter, who promises to show us the latest in ghost hunting techniques and equipment. He is THE GHOST HUNTER. Overview
The excitement over paranormal-related programming is overwhelming. With specials and series regarding the supernatural on The Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, The Sci-Fi Channel, The History Channel, and others, new programming of this nature needs a twist. Haunted Destinations provides the hook with its three varied hosts, their commitment to finding REAL evidence of the paranormal, and their access to the most prominent, secretive, and scariest places in the world.
At the end of the day the paranormal community and the general public have an appetite for something real, something they can learn from. Who are ghost hunters? If ghosts are NOT real why do they hunt? And why? Are they all just con-artists? Most shows on television do not ask these questions or even care about their answers. The bottom line for them: can we find a ghost this episode-even if we have to fake it?
The bottom line for Haunted Destinations: Did we find something REAL? If we catch a paranormal event it is the real deal. That in itself is exciting. Watch this show and you will see REAL ghosts!
Now, of course, we cannot control the paranormal. That is why the aims of the show also go beyond just catching a ghost on video. We want to investigate locations that are special to the paranormal community in some way, places and events that have never been seen by outsiders before and are open to us because of our experience in and relationship to the paranormal community.
Besides amazing, never before seen places, we want to work with a new paranormal group at each location. These ghost hunting groups are as varied as they are many. Each group has a different philosophy, hierarchy, and way of doing things. This is fascinating and provides human nature drama every episode, regardless of whether we catch a ghost on tape that week.
Characters
The most exciting allure of the show lies in its team. Yaniv Aronson is the outsider, a young filmmaker trying to learn about the paranormal. John Zaffis is one of the most respected and accomplished paranormal experts in the world, and Scott Morrow is a savvy, no-nonsense ghost hunter with a penchant for doing things the right way.
-Yaniv Aronson, In 2005, Yaniv began work on a documentary of the ghost culture. The documentary was intended to explore the â€œbelieversâ€ rather than to attempt to prove or disprove the existence of ghosts. As a result of his immersion into the culture, Yaniv has developed an understanding of this oft misunderstood demographic. They are not afraid of opening up to him and revealing deeply intimate and personal experiencesâ€“ something that is unheard of in this community.
Yanivâ€™s role in the show is that of the centered, unbiased, everyman- someone in whom most of the audience will relate to. Yaniv remains unbiased, claiming neither belief nor non-belief. However, he admits to seeing things that he cannot explain, and perhaps wishes not to. Yanivâ€™ wants to share these experiences and let people decide for themselves whether or not they believe. Yaniv will also be heavily involved in the filming of each investigation. His background as a filmmaker makes Yanivâ€™s perspective a unique one in which to view the show. While there will be a full crew, and he will carry a night-vision equipped camera at all times. His experience shooting the Haunted Destinations pilots as well as a documentary on the paranormal not only give the show an unbiased photographer, but also, someone with extensive knowledge on the equipment, techniques, even the best places to stand and shoot during an investigation.
-Zohn Zaffis, A world-famous demonologist, he only investigates dark, violent cases involving the demonic. He is incredibly well-known and regarded in the paranormal community. He is a lecturer, author, and promoter of the paranormal world. Some of his accomplishments:

-Scott Morrow, Scott is a paranormal investigator. He believes in ghosts, but he also places high value on doing things the right way. During his investigations with Yaniv, he would routinely discount information because they were gained in a less than scientific or unbiased manner. He is a wiz with infrared, EVPâ€™s, and any other technology investigators might use in capturing proof or trying to fool us. This has gained Scott tremendous respect among those in the paranormal world. It is the reason Yaniv stared and continues working with him.
As the investigator, Scott will help explain the more technical and scientific aspects of the show to the audience. His other primary role is that of â€œquality control.â€ He will check out and â€œcleanâ€ each location to make sure there are no tricks being pulled on us by location owners or dishonest paranormal groups. In other words, making sure that we are not being duped. We hope to capture less-than honest groups cheating us because it will establish our credibility in doing things the right way.
