Thanks for stopping by my MySpace page. I'm a composer and percussionist (mainly vibes and marimba) in the New York City area. I'm still pretty new to this area, having recently moved here from Austin, TX, and I'd love to connect with some other musicians in town.
My interests as a composer vary widely. I've written compositions and arrangements for jazz groups of all sizes, pop bands, a string quartet, and even a steel drum band - I'm presently working on a piece for percussion ensemble. Recently I've also started to delve into commercial composition. As a vibes player most of my experience has been in jazz, but I'm always interested in playing all sorts of music.
A few words about the sound files I've put on this page: "I Hear a Rhapsody" was recently recorded with 7-string guitar wiz John Judd. "Wide Awake" and "Monsoon" are original compositions of mine, performed with the help of some of my friends from The Univ. of Texas. Also, I've posted a solo vibraphone arrangement of Billy Strayhorn's "Lush Life," which is in the process of being published. Enjoy.
