I can make babies...What's your superpower?

About Me

I'm a 26 year old happily married female...Hey, that's a start. What do you want to know? I guess you just need to ask. But you'll only get answers if I know you.

I was an Army Brat (yea it sucked at times but I had my family) growing up and have lived all around the country (Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and California) and in Germany twice. To all the people I knew in Budingen, Fleigerhorst, Hanau and all the surrounding towns, I love you all and I hope one day to meet up with you again!
I've seen a lot of things that my father made sure that I didn't take for granted. Between moving and traveling we have covered a lot of ground. We eventually relocated to Oregon, which is where my family is at. I graduated from South Medford High School in 2000, Go Panthers!!
From there I studied at SOU for 3 years before getting into Nursing school. I worked three jobs to make ends meet and took out my own student loans. When Nursing school came along I quit most of my jobs and just bartended at the best bar in Medford...The Break Room (it's a pool hall). I graduated with my BSN from OHSU in Oregon in June of 2005. (P.S. I hope everyone's doing good! Miss you all!!!)
I did my training for Labor and Delivery in good ol' Yuma, Arizona. Yuma? Where's that you ask? Well it's in the crotch of the world. The very southwest corner of Arizona and in the summers it's literally hotter than hell. If you look real hard on a map you might find it, but then again you may not. But it's not a bad location considering it's two and a half hours from San Diego and Pheonix and only five hours from Las Vegas. I miss everyone there! We had the best crew of women around!!!!
I moved to Yuma for a job, which I really enjoyed, but I missed my family a lot an couldn't deal with the heat. So I moved back to Oregon.
Now a whole new road....I was living in Klamath Falls, Oregon and working at the hospital there in town. It was different from what I learned but I liked it. But then I met this amazing guy, who wasn't from Klamath Falls but incidentally from good ol' Medford, Oregon. I told my sister two weeks after meeting him that he was the man that I was going to marry. He was everything that I ever wanted and treats me like I'm the only woman in the world. We got engaged and I moved over into the valley. I am now working at RVMC in the Family Birth Center doing what I love. We married September 20th 2008, and I couldn't be happier. We are also expecting a beautiful baby boy (Kai Cooper) and will be due sometime during the end of January.
And that my curious friends is a little synopsis of me......

I'd like to meet:

Well I'm not into meeting people over MySpace, especially those who are trying to randomly add people. No offense to anyone I don't know but everyone on my friends list I know personally. I've either gone to school with them (Cali, Germany, or Oregon), worked with them (at what ever job(s) I had at the time), hung out with them at gatherings, or they are part of my family. So what I'm saying is that NO I'm not interested in being a number on your myspace account and no I will not add you.

Music:

My music selection is as random as my socks. I listen to just about everything thanks to my parents and other various friends. I don't however listen to heavy metal or screamers. It just sounds like nails down a chalkboard for me.

Movies:

I love a good comedy! Romantic comedies are good too! As cheesy as it sounds I also am a huge Harry Potter fan. I just lost cool points for admitting that but there you go! I'll watch anything though that catches my eye and looks like it has a good story line. I'm also into kid's movies, they're an easy plot to follow and I can fall asleep to them!

Television:

The only reason I have a TV is to watch rented movies. I almost never watch television shows and really don't have the time. However I've really gotten into "The Closer". Don't ask me why, so I record it and watch it when I have nothing else better to do.

Books:

My book collection is monstrous! I love to read! All kinds of books! I have every type and genre. One of these days I'll have to get rid of some of them but until that time I am a declared book nerd!

Heroes:

Well I actually have a few:
My Mom and Dad: It takes a lot to raise a girl like me and I know at times they would have loved to have locked me in a room and thrown away the key! Yea don't deny it I know you thought about it. They put me in my room but never locked me in (Being on house arrest was the best punishment for me). But they stuck by me, through it all. They raised me to be who I am today and tried their hardest to always stand behind me. They believed in me when many didn't and always pushed me to do better. They have always told me they loved me and shown it through their actions. I don't know what kind of person I would be today had my parents ever turned their backs on me. I've seen them through hard times, good times, shocking and upsetting times, times when I wanted to be hundreds miles away, and tender and loving times. Yea, a lot of times..... let's just say that. They have given me confidence and strength, and taught me it's not in the way a person looks but in how they treat you. I look up to these two people everyday and can say that they will always be my heroes!
My Sis: My sister has been everywhere with me, yea even the times I would have liked to just lose her. As a little girl she annoyed the hell out of me, I have a sneaky suspicion that it was purposely. Pestering me to no end. Always in my stuff, taking things, reading diaries, telling mom and dad what I was up to. As a teenager we hated each other but still loved each other's clothes. I'm still missing stuff from that era (but it probably got lost either between the mattress or in the shoe box in her closet where she put most of it). But soon after she started high school I realized that she wasn't just my sister any more.... she was my best friend. Even to this day I don't know what I would do with out my sister. I can talk to her about anything, still steal her clothes (lol), hang out and never get bored. She's married now to a great guy and it seems like we just get closer and closer. She will always be my best friend, sister, and hero till the end!!
I now have another great hero to brag about though. My fiance Jesse! Immediately after meeting Jesse bowling he had won my heart. He was so laid back and humorous and any one who has met this guy knows what I mean. He has been there for me through some interesting times, and I knew he was the man I was meant to marry. Ask anyone lol. We had a connection like I have had with no other. He is my heart and soul. And I can't wait to bring him into the family and to begin our own!
