I was an Army Brat (yea it sucked at times but I had my family) growing up and have lived all around the country (Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and California) and in Germany twice. To all the people I knew in Budingen, Fleigerhorst, Hanau and all the surrounding towns, I love you all and I hope one day to meet up with you again!
I've seen a lot of things that my father made sure that I didn't take for granted. Between moving and traveling we have covered a lot of ground. We eventually relocated to Oregon, which is where my family is at. I graduated from South Medford High School in 2000, Go Panthers!!
From there I studied at SOU for 3 years before getting into Nursing school. I worked three jobs to make ends meet and took out my own student loans. When Nursing school came along I quit most of my jobs and just bartended at the best bar in Medford...The Break Room (it's a pool hall). I graduated with my BSN from OHSU in Oregon in June of 2005. (P.S. I hope everyone's doing good! Miss you all!!!)
I did my training for Labor and Delivery in good ol' Yuma, Arizona. Yuma? Where's that you ask? Well it's in the crotch of the world. The very southwest corner of Arizona and in the summers it's literally hotter than hell. If you look real hard on a map you might find it, but then again you may not. But it's not a bad location considering it's two and a half hours from San Diego and Pheonix and only five hours from Las Vegas. I miss everyone there! We had the best crew of women around!!!!
I moved to Yuma for a job, which I really enjoyed, but I missed my family a lot an couldn't deal with the heat. So I moved back to Oregon.
Now a whole new road....I was living in Klamath Falls, Oregon and working at the hospital there in town. It was different from what I learned but I liked it. But then I met this amazing guy, who wasn't from Klamath Falls but incidentally from good ol' Medford, Oregon. I told my sister two weeks after meeting him that he was the man that I was going to marry. He was everything that I ever wanted and treats me like I'm the only woman in the world. We got engaged and I moved over into the valley. I am now working at RVMC in the Family Birth Center doing what I love.
We married September 20th 2008, and I couldn't be happier. We are also expecting a beautiful baby boy (Kai Cooper) and will be due sometime during the end of January.
And that my curious friends is a little synopsis of me......
