About Me
It is important to me that all who read my profile have an understanding that I am nothing and totally depraved apart from the saving grace and mercy of my Lord, Savior, King, and Author of my faith, Jesus Christ. Yes, I do produce music for the glorification of my Lord but it is vital for me to exalt Him above all things including myself especially considering the days in which we live. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16) and the preaching of the Gospel is the great “means†and “methodology†of missions. The Gospel is, first and foremost, God in Christ reconciling the world to Himself (II Corinthians 5:19). It answers the eternal question of how a just God can rightly justify wicked men (Romans 3:26). It points to Christ alone, who bore the sins of His people upon the cross, was forsaken of God, and crushed under the full force of His just wrath against sin. The Good News of the Gospel is that through Christ’s death, the justice of God was satisfied, and salvation was won for a great multitude of people. This is evidenced by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - “He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification†(Romans 4:25).Although there may be some effective non-personal means of communicating the Gospel (i.e. Music, Movies, Plays, etc.), there is no substitute for one man living among a people, teaching the Gospel to them, and living out his faith before them. God sent his own Son, and He became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1, 14; 3:16).Non-theological preaching, entertaining skits, Gospel films, rap concerts, etc… are no substitute for the biblical account of the Gospel. Inviting men to raise their hands and pray a prayer is no substitute for the biblical call to repentance, faith, and personal discipleship. Biblical assurance of salvation does not flow from a past decision or a prayer, but from the examination of one’s enduring lifestyle in the light of Scripture. The greatest need of all men from every culture is the clear proclamation of the Gospel. Men are saved through the Gospel and continue in sanctification through continued growth in the full counsel of God’s Word. Although differences in culture are to be considered, it is more important for us to be biblically sensitive rather than culturally sensitive. A missionary was once asked how he preached the Gospel to a certain remote tribe. He declared, “I do not preach the Gospel to a remote tribe. I preach the Gospel to men!â€Brothers and Sisters,Let us stop carrying on as if we don't know God. Do we love the things that God loves and hate the things that God hates? God hates a proud look. His word says that He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. God hates sensual and seductive temptation. If your clothes frame your face God is pleased because you bring attention to the place where the glory of the Lord should be evident. If your clothes frame your body, then God is not pleased because you now become a stumbling block and cause many to sin. Do we care if we are a stumbling block? Do we love the things of the world or hate them? When I look at many Christian myspace influences I am astounded. No wonder many of our statistics are comparable to the world. We indulge in the same things they do so we get the same results.WE NEED TO BE SEPARATE FROM THE WORLD WHEN IT COMES TO THE THINGS WE LOVE AND DO!!!These are just a few of the issues that I believe are a huge problem in today's self proclaimed church. Don't get me wrong. I'm not preaching perfectionism. God knows I need all the help I can get. But some things are just so obvious. We should examine ourselves daily to ensure that we are walking in the faith.Paul Washer - Shocking Message (full length)Paul Washer Project 1Paul Washer Project 2
