Incredibly varied. All things artistic: music, art, theater, poetry, writing. I love the outdoors. There is nothing better for getting back in touch with yourself than sitting by the river and remembering that, like that river, life is ever changing and unpredictable. I'm fascinated by astronomy, but I suppose that fits into the whole outdoors thing. I love spending time with friends and loved ones, no matter what we are doing. My newest interest, and one that is going to be lifelong, is watching the growth and development of my little girl, and waiting to see what kind of person she becomes.
Looking most forward to meeting the woman that my little girl will become. Most of the people I would most like to meet are no longer with us. If I had a time machine, I would love to go back and meet some of the greatest minds in history: DaVinci, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Einstein, Shakespeare, Dickins...people who's contributions to the world made it a better or more beautiful place. I would also love to meet my grandfather, who left us when my father was a toddler. While I'm sure there are people I would like to meet that ARE still with us, I have been blessed to meet a great deal of wonderful people, both who have fame, and others that do not. I feel that everyone with whom I have come into contact has enriched my life in ways great and small, and I hope that I have, in some small way, enriched their's as well.
Pretty varied as well. My Ipod has everything from jazz to country to classic rock to R&B to metal. My best friend, whom I have known pretty much since infancy, is an opera singer, so I enjoy opera by default. Show tunes. I love any music that touches my heart, moves me emotionally, or that can make me want to MOVE!!!!
Comedies, action, psychological thrillers, drama, science fiction. I LOVE movies that pull my emotions every which way; tears of joy or sorrow, or laughing so hard I cry. Among my faves: Moulin Rouge, Rent, Clue (I know, cheesy, but I love it), Princess Bride, and What Dreams May Come. Most Julia Roberts movies, especially the Roberts/Gere movies. I also love the Hanks/Ryan flicks. As for comedy, can't live without Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, or ROBIN WILLIAMS (the king!!!). Disney is always good to get you back in touch with your childhood. And okay, okay, I admit, there was a time when I knew the entire scripts of Neverending Story (the first one) and Clash of the Titans by heart....and probably still do
I tend to use the television more for background noise than actually watch it. I like sitcoms will admit to the guilty pleasure of liking reality shows, SNL, and all things sci fi. I also like Law and Order. RIP Will & Grace and Charmed (the latter of which I still loyally watch in reruns)!!!
Pretty much anything in print. I like classics as well as contemporary authors. I usually have more than one book going at a time and in genres as varied as my movie preferences. Although right now, Curious George, Mother Goose, and Potter (Beatrix, not Harry) are the primary on my reading list for obvious reasons.
A hero to me is someone who inspires us to be a better version of ourselves. My heroes aren't all particularly well known, but have been incredible sources of inspiration. My parents have been amazing supports throughout my life, and have been there for me through everything. Also, my father's mother is an amazing woman who doesn't know the meaning of the words quit or "you can't." My best friend, Angel, is also a remarkable person. She has been through a lot of difficult times and heartache, but never stopped chasing her dreams.
Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success
The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
