I am an artist/photographer/writer/inspirer/coach committed to making a difference and expanding how people see both their outer and inner worlds.
I am proud to say I am 67 years old, feeling like I'm in my 30s. Many have commented on their disbelief at "how Internet Savvy [I am] for a woman of [my] age!" I am going in so many different directions, I finally put most of it together to link from SheilaFinkelstein.com .
A large portion of my time is spent on my twice-weekly FREE photo ezine PICTURE TO PONDER .
The largest percentage of my time right now is focusing on reaching distribution sources for the markets for my wordless BANANA SKY DVD, a 12 minute endless loop of photography and music, that will reground and rejuvenate the stressed-out caregiver, or the overloaded anyone, within 5 minutes or less. For a preview see BANANA SKY One Minute Preview .
.The DVD evolved out of my own experience as a caregiver of a husband with Parkinson's Disease. Whenever I find myself flying off in a rage when various behavioral symptoms of the disease kick in, I pop the DVD into my TV and calm down within minutes.
My family life consists of my wonderful husband of 47 years who is the original photographer in the family. His wonderful black and white photos can be seen at Sam's Photography . Please be mindful that all of our images are copyright and subject to prior approval before use on your sites. We have four wonderful grandchildren, two close to us in Florida where we live and two in Georgia. They are marvelously parented by our two sons and their great wives.
In addition to watching my own DVD, I get restoration and rejuvenation by taking a walk with my camera, especially in Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Green Cay Wetlands and the American Orchid Society Gardens. I often post photos on FlickR
.One of my biggest rewards in life is when someone writes sharing the difference something I've put out has made for them. The epitome of this came in a recent email from a former 5th grade student of mine when I taught art over 30 years ago. She found me on the web and wanted to share that it was because of what I opened her up to in herself that had her become an artist, who worked in Europe for 20 years and now is in the US teaching handicapped high school students, while studying for her Master's Degree.
