About Me

I don't know html very well. The main thing I'm into these days is submission-wrestling...it'd be so awesome if I could get paid to do it.

My Interests

I love submission-wrestling, especially the catch-as-catch-can style. If I voted--and I have never, ever done that as of yet because I am slow and lazy--I'd vote Republican most of the time. My mom is black, so I suppose that makes me one of the dreaded "black Republicans."I like philosophy, especially that which has a strong foundation in the word of God, ala St. Augustine, C.S. Lewis, St. Augustine, St. Augustine and St. Augustine. Augustine is awesome. Even when I don't understand him, he still sounds cool. Example: 'For verses, and poems, and "Medea flying," are more profitable truly than these men's five elements, variously disguised, answering to five dens of darkness, which have no being, yet slay the believer.'I also like the philosophers Dinesh D'Souza, Thomas Sowell and Edmund Burke.Fritz Lieber, Robert E. Howard, Russell Kirk, William Peter Blatty, C.S. Lewis and some others round out my top fiction writers list.Favorite comic books? I love comic books and that is hard to say. Wildfire's definitive origin issue, written by Roy Thomas, was a great one. Detective Comics 500 was given to me as a birthday present by my older brother when I was like, 2 or 3...and guess what?It was an awesome present because that is one of the best comic-books ever.Arguably the best Batman story of all time in there..."To Kill a Legend".Conan The Barbarian had sooooo many great issues, hard to list a favorite. I'd have to say the stuff involving Conan vs. Commander Grimm was the best for me...that actually occurred in Savage Sword of Conan, but it was a continuation of the then-cancelled Conan the Barbarian.Rom the Spaceknight and the Micronauts were also great.I generally don't like new comic-books...after around 1995 they started to suck much more.

I'd like to meet:

My evil double...he's out there somewhere...and sometime...we're going to have a showdown.

Music:

Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, DragonForce, Kansas, Foreigner, Journey, Survivor, Stan Bush, Europe, etc...

Movies:

Highlander, Love on Delivery(best Stephen Chow film ever), Conan the Barbarian, Robocop 1&2, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Exorcist...the list continues goes on and on.

Television:

Must you ask? Transformers! Not Beast Wars, not Car Robots, not the Japanese continuation....but the real deal...the original series, where Optimus Prime--as voiced by Peter Cullen--was a cowboy not a gun-shy pacifist and the irreplaceable Scatman Crothers did the voice of Jazz...and the late Chris Latta tore it up as Starscream!Batman: TAS was great too, especially for the first 3 seasons. Wiseguy is probably my favorite live-action show.Favorite sports program...? Probably Tuesday Night Fights on USA with Sean O'Grady and Al Albert.

Books:

The King James Bible, is numero uno of course. The Confuessions--St. Augustine; Ancestral Shadows--Russell Kirk; King Kull--Robert E. Howard; The Exorcist--William Peter Blatty; Carmilla--Sheridan Le Fanu; Reflections on the Revolution in France--Edmund Burke; Swords against Death--Fritz Lieber; Till We Have Faces--Clives Staples Lewis

Heroes:

Well, I'm lucky to be able to say my dad and older brother are both guys I look up to. So is my gramps; he was the man. Some guys that I admire as professional athletes are Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Masa Funaki and Kazushi Sakuraba. You could say that Ronald Reagan is a hero of mine; I certainly admire the man alot and feel a little sad when I think of the fact that when I was younger and sillier I didn't give him his due. Floyd Patterson too...guy came from the cruddiest background ever and then defined what it meant to be a fighter with class.
