About Me

Hey, I'm Holly! Welcome to my MySpace page! Just wanna give ya a lil' information about who I am and what's going on in my life. Um...where do I begin? Well, I'm 22 years old, and I live in a small white house with my sister, Heather. I really enjoy living out in the country again. It's nice and peaceful. And now, I finally have the chance to have a garden like I've always wanted. Gardening is hard work and can be demanding at times, but it's also fun and quite rewarding. There's just something special about watching things grow, seeing how they change over time.
I enjoy singing, dancing, and listening to music. I like to read a good book, and I love watching movies. I love to cook and I LOVE to eat! :) I also like to take long walks. It not only benefits my body but also my soul. I find it to be very relaxing because it allows me to clear my mind and talk to God about whatever is on my heart.
Most importantly, I love Jesus! He is the love of my life. He is my Savior, my Provider, my Comforter, my Hope, my Life, my Everthing, and so much more. I am undeserving of His love and am very blessed to be called His.
Speaking of blessings, God has blessed my life in a tremendous way recently. I had been praying for companionship for several years, and while I didn't realize it at the time, I was praying with the wrong motives. I assumed the void in my heart was from being single and that I would feel complete if I found a mate. I was mistaken. Ultimately, emptiness comes from a desire to know God more intimately. He is the one and only one who can fill any gap.
I have to admit, I was bitter about being single. I hated having loads of free time on my hands because of, what seemed like, endless dateless nights. But God brought me to this realization: Think of my free time as a blessing, not a curse. Odds are I will never have this much free time in my life ever again, so why not spend my time wisely and grow in my faith and walk with the Lord? I'm learning to wait in God, not just on Him- not always an easy thing to do. I've also learned that I can and should trust God to guard my heart, to keep it until He so chooses to bless me with someone who will cherish it. Once I surrendered my whole heart to Him, God blessed me with a very special person in my life. His name is Jon, and he truly is the most amazing man I've ever known. He's a good Christian and a wonderful father to his children. He is extremely intelligent and talented and VERY handsome. He has a great sense of humor- a complete blast to be around. He's warm and genuine, sincere, and he always considers other before himself. He has a smile that brightens even my worst day and a heart of pure gold. He is God-sent, and I am very blessed to have him by my side.
Well, I guess that's pretty much it. If you wanna know more, just ask. :)
