Maria Albayrak is a strong woman born and raised in Orebro, Sweden. As a person she is very outgoing socialy, charming and down to earth. HUMOR is a must in her life. Some people can handle it some people can't. Many times she wanted to act out her passion for acting but she thinks that Sweden is to little for her to live out on. In here 19, almost 20 years in life she has always found that music is her great passion, her unconditional love. Combining raw talet with a crazy peronality, she is a succes to happen! From lying in her mother’s belly, kicking like hell, she started out as a dancer even when she barely could walk. From modern dance to street dance people been calling her “dancefloorkiller†because that’s how she strut her stuff on the floor. As a child she was very quiet and calm but something happened and melody and song begun. Taking private lessons on the piano at a young age made her realise that this is what she wanted to do for rest of her life. If it wasn't small talent shows, it was singing at family reunions.
Soul and Rnb music was here game at first but realising that she expresses her self better by singing Dark rock after things that happened in her life. Maria is versatile, has a unique sound and is timeless. Her personality is not the only thing that makes her different and special from others, the voice has a crazy sound (when it feels like it) Picturing an old, whisky drinking, cigarette smoking lady with a raspy touch. Not exactly but almost. ;)Especially learning to play the gitarr made her love standing on stage even more then before. Now a days she’s been recording a lot in studios, writing and producing here own stuff.
The year of 2005 Maria applied to the Swedish Idol with 4000 others and came further then she thought she would and landed on 10th place. Her confidence increased amazingly and made her believe in her self for the better. When Maria isn’t singing she spends her time on the famous school bench. Another dream of hers is becoming a lawyer. Graduating high school summer of 05 she was planning to study law school at one of the finest universities in Stockholm next year, “if everything goes right†as she says. Her dad and her sister are her biggest influences when it comes to studies. She doesn’t only have beauty but brains to!
