Plunger

Never take on a man with an ice pick alone...

About Me

Plunger began many many years ago when the three brothers Joe, Nathan and Marcus began their first grade-school jam session. Their interest in music & performance continued to develop throughout their high school years. They were involved in many different music projects and even a few garage bands. In college, Joe met up with Pat Wagner and began playing & recording original songs as a band called the F.M. After college, Joe left for Europe, joined a rock band called Shagalag and dove heavily in recording and constructing songs. Meanwhile, Marcus & Nathan formed the punk-bluegrass band, Slippery Cup, and played frequently throughout the Lehigh Valley. Joe kept the family music alive in Europe during visits by family & friends by recording songs performed by Slippery Cup and the little Balum sister, Rachel. In 2005, Joe returned from Europe, and teamed up with his brothers and Pat Wagner and began the weekend sessions that would eventually evolve into Plunger. Plunger had a few different drummers at the start, Ross Brown, Kevin McCabe, and Jesse Albertson, but are now happy to have Michael Bacon of OTW in the group.

Whatever we haven’t heard will probably force us to write a song in that genre. We’re a group of writers who love music and love playing.
