About Me

From a very young age, Billy Adams had an unmistakable draw towards music. His passion for music stemmed from countless hours spent listening to different albums on record players, often times falling asleep at night with the different albums playing in his head. He naturally progressed musically throughout middle school playing the trumpet in his school..s concert band. In junior high, he was inspired to learn how to play the guitar from watching his Dad strum and sing old Beatles songs around the house. Even at that age, he took his pursuit of becoming a great musician very seriously. Billy decided to sign up for guitar lessons, and faithfully studied for years. He also discovered an innate musical gift that set him apart from most other young musicians his age. He could effortlessly play most any musical instrument placed in front of him .. and to top it all off, he could sing too.
With such exceptional giftedness throughout middle school and junior high, Billy moved on to high school and also gaining much recognition for his overall outstanding musicianship. Joining the high school choir, he would become the ..Leader of the Tenors.., then the ..Leader of the Bass...., and win several First Place/Perfect Score Awards from solo vocal performances at Chicago..s Northwestern University. With rock music pulsing through his veins, he would also front, with guitar in hand, a successful local band called Amined throughout high school. Winning almost every competition they entered, earning major radio airtime, and headlining Chicago..s popular venues, it was evident that their music rose above the standards of musicians of their generation. The songs written, composed, or produced by Billy, touched on the deeper issues of life, love, and faith. His craft had truly become well-rounded and well-received. Still only in his teens, he was already achieving more than the average musician. His music was a positive impact on many lives and was gaining respect abroad.
Billy Adams had become an authentic artist.
He began recognizing a unique calling on his life and music. His faith in God..s unique purpose for his life eventually led him to leave his band to pursue something new. Billy decided to take some time off from music to grow as a Christian. During that time, God reformed him, prepared him, and became the purpose of his life.
Through a friendship with another talented Christian guitarist, Jeff Courtney, Billy was introduced successful locals Two4One, formerly Brooke and Leah Barrettsmith of Word/Curb/Warner Brothers Records. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to join their band and quickly became a vital part of their music and ministry. He began sharing the stage with national artists and bands. He began appearing at large, respected venues, on all of the major television stations, radio stations, newspapers, and magazines. He excelled in every situation. But in the midst of all the success, he still recognized that the most important aspect of doing Christian music wasn..t just about having a rockin.. live show. It was really about the ministry of praying with, counseling, and sharing his faith openly with the fans.
Billy was a key member and songwriter of the powerful independent rock band and evangelistic ministry GOODBYE©. He is still growing as a talented producer working on many miscellaneous musical projects, including co-writing and touring with signed Essential/Sony BMG recording artist Brooke Barrettsmith and is also working his solo material. Although he continues to be pursued by record labels, a part of big tours and events, and is consistently receiving accolades regarding his music, he remains humble and thankful.

My Blog

What is life for anyway?

Seems totally pointless sometimes doesn't it? There's only going to be a handful to read this, so I want everyone to read it carefully. I got some good news. We do have a reason for waking up everyday...
