After writing music for 8 years, the talented Mr. Prince Of Twist has become an outstanding lyricist based on life events. D-Linkwynt, born as Darrin Armstead in Ruston, Louisiana, raised in Chicago, (oldest of 2) got his name from his "gangsta" mentality as a juvenile at age 13. He started writin music at the age of 11 with the alias "Shorty", as of being the shortest student in 6th grade. Link attended christian schools from 1st grade- 4th. From 5th grade on out of high school (public schools), Link has experienced fights, robbery, many females, behind bars, and drugs such as marijuana and liquor. Throughout the years of school, Link and his family moved a number of times. From Gary, IN to Hammond, IN and back 2 Illinois in a city called Hazel Crest located in the South Suburbs. "I lived on a block called Oakwood but I was always on another block around the corner from me where all my niggaz and e'body else at....Dogwood. I moved to the suburbs when i was 13. When I started goin' on Dogwood, I didn't know everybody that lived on the block. People would ask me where u from, who are you, who u lookin' fo', like they owned it. I became cool with them when one of mah guyz told them about me. They heard mah lyrics and ever since then, they have been showin me love. That's when I met Steezo, the biggest money maker on the block. He's gonna have a record label called Dogwood Records real soon and I'm his first artist." Link moved out of the south suburbs and back to where he grew up at. 93rd S. Green Chicago, IL where he met up with his cousin, another rap artist, who calls himself...Drilla. "Dats mah cuz right there, dat nigga hot. He let me hear his group, The League, and I was feelin they styles. Everybody had a different style and they all from chicago. They heard me, I was automatically with the group. Its like a big army full of rappers, singers, producers, maaan...." Although D-Linkwynt is still with Dogwood, he decides to join Chitown's Finest, "The League." "Im workin on mixtapes right now wit mah nigga puff wit' BLOCK MONEY ENT. I gotta plant mah seeds. After a few mixtapes, then a album. Tha first mixtape already done. U'll hear from it soon. U already know by tha second mixtape and mah album, u'll be hearin from the league. No matter what, Im still there fo mah league niggaz. Everybody got a solo. So Im lettin all u other viewers out there know it ain't no personal thang. Its Dogwood All Day Bitch!
