Slow Education

About Me

Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace LayoutsSlow Education is Murfreesboro's only spoken word/ performance art radio program, broadcasting live from WMTS 88.3. We feature local poets, authors, actors and artists performing orginal work and the work of their favorite writers with instrumental accompaniment. The music covers a wide range of styles, from jazz to hip hop to classical, ambient and noise. The words are poetry and prose, original and interpretive. We've had performers read TS Eliot with DJ Shadow, Paul Celan with Fourtet, David Berman with Philip Glass... all kinds of genre exploding, century spanning cut-ups and juxtapositions. We're looking for ranters and ravers, preachers and madmen who want their voices heard to come down to the studio at 88.3, climb up on our soapbox, and SPEAK THESE WORDS.
