I am here for Friends

About Me

Random. Silly. Anglophile. Big Country fanatic. Music lover. House addict. Potter-head. HTML-er. Driver. Pharmacy wench. Nerd. Penguin. 80s freak. God's daughter.
I am a Big Country fanatic. (Yes, the "one-hit wonder" from the 80s.) I love to travel, England being the preferred destination. I have penguins. Lots and lots of penguins. I'm a music lover, movie appreciater, and television nut. I'm particularly fond of law and forensic-based shows/movies, but British comedy is also a favourite. I write and talk like I'm British sometimes. I love being cold. I play around with webdesign and consequently spend hours wasting away in front of a computer screen. I'm a pharmacy technician at Walgreens. I'd love to move to London at some point in my life, even if it's just for six months. I'm planning a move to Colorado Springs next summer. I'd like to write a book. I want to get married, have four children, and be a housewife. I'm a grammar whore. I have a dog and two guinea pigs, who are my babies. I obsess easily and frantically, sometimes burning out after two months.
Best band. Ever.

To Craphole Island it is!

My Interests

Big Country , Alan Rickman, penguins, Britishness, travel, United Kingdom, driving, HTML, randomness, Hugh Laurie, Christianity, music, writing, British comedy, 80s

I'd like to meet:

Shouldn't that be "Whom I'd Like to Meet"? No, seriously, it'll bug me until I know.

Celebrity-wise, Alan Rickman and/or Hugh Laurie . Fantastic actors, the both of them. Alan's been one of my favourite actors for years, and I grew up seeing him in various roles, and Hugh Laurie is just one of the most brilliant British comedians ever to grace the telly.

Non-living, though, I'd say Stuart Adamson, in a heartbeat. He will always be, to me, the greatest lyricist ever to create music. Not too shabby on the guitar, either. It's such a shame that the music community lost him.

As for anybody else in the world, I want to meet people who aren't afraid to befriend a slightly odd girl who has the tendancy to obsess over obscure celebrities and dreams of leaving the only place she's ever called home and see the world.

Books:

Harry Potter series (Half-Blood Prince rocks my world), Kurt Vonnegut books, Ragtime, Anita Shrieve books (even though they're all basically the same), Tess of the d'Urbervilles, mysteries, suspense, cynical women's novels

Heroes:

Jesus Christ, my Mom, my Gramma
