Biography
Raymond de Jong  (1980), Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands
Raymond was born the 2nd of Januari in Alphen aan den Rijn in which he grew up almost his whole youth.His parents love music and Raymond also developed interest in music when he was young.
He has a younger brother who plays the Piano, Keyboard and Synthesizers.
After trying Piano and drums, and being inspired by a guitar music loving uncle, Raymond finally started playing the guitar when he was 16 years old.
With some help from friends who play the guitar themselves, he thaught himself how to play guitar and learned how to write leads and chord progressions.
Currently Raymond is playing guitars in the band Soundscape, which is currently writing their first concept album "The Picture of Dorian Gray", which is based on a Novel with the same title by Oscar Wilde and from which Raymond has composed the lyrics.
After meeting with Sid Barnhoorn, a great composer and musician, Raymond learned about samples with which he could create the sound of an orchestra and also learned from him how to program them with sequencing software.
Currently Raymond is writing music with these samples and recently he finished his first works: Overture to 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', which is based on a guitar theme he wrote for Soundscape's concept album, and a Fantasy for Orchestra, which is based on a guitar song he wrote with Sid Barnhoorn.
He will also record some old classic guitar works in the near future.
