About Me

THE JIANTS - The MOVIE Around 10pm on March 6, 1956 a freak early-spring category 4 tornado struck the northern section of Marion killing one person and injuring 31 people causing half a million dollars in damages. *********************I have written a movie script based upon "The Jiants," a late-1950s high school rock and roll band from Marion, Indiana. The group recorded "Tornado" on the Claudra label which went to No. #1 in many Indiana cities. 'Tornado' is still a dance favorite in England, and through the years has been covered many times by such artists as Big Boy Pete, Russ Anderson, the Wildkats, The Loud Mufflers, and the Toadies.
The film chronicles the lives of the four band members from 1957, when they first performed at an all-school talent show, until their eventual breakup in 1961. This film will be shot entirely on location in the state of Indiana. Actors and about 2000 extras of all ages are needed for filming in the following Indiana cities: Marion, Peru, Fort Wayne, Madison, Converse, Evansville, Bloomington, and Logansport. TARGET DATES: Casting: Fall 2009
Filming: 2010 Release: late 2012

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Aspiring young actors for my movie. Musicians preferred for the four leads, but not absolutely necessary as most of the music will be pre-recorded (a lot of it from the actual 1950s recordings). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * THE MAIN CHARACTERS (all 17-year-old males): ANDY (lead singer) - 6 foot tall, slender, dark hair, extremely handsome with lots of sex-appeal.
