Aspiring young actors for my movie. Musicians preferred for the four leads, but not absolutely necessary as most of the music will be pre-recorded (a lot of it from the actual 1950s recordings).

THE MAIN CHARACTERS (all 17-year-old males):
ANDY (lead singer) - 6 foot tall, slender, dark hair, extremely handsome with lots of sex-appeal. An outgoing personality and good management skills. Actor must be able to effectively portray a dynamic lead singer in a band.
JERRY (guitar) - a 6'2" stringbean. Typical midwestern facial features, sandy or brown hair, a natural comedian. A heart of gold (will gladly do anything for anybody). Expert inventive guitar-player and very serious about it. Getting a real guitarist who knows chords would be a plus.
BILL (piano player) - pint-sized but talented pianist. Businesslike and basically shy but driven to succeed. Considers himself average-looking but girls say "cute."
RON (drummer) - blond hair, stocky and muscular. Aspires to be a jazz musician. Proud, wise-cracking and sometimes impatient. Superb drummer. Percussion skills helpful.******************************
SUPPORTING ROLES:SWANSON: 16 - Slim & sexy friend and NO.1 fan of the band. Lots of hair and attitude. Extrovert. At all performances and sock hops. Absolutely the best dancer within 50 miles, and definitely a womanizer!
JUDY: 16 - Andy's steady girlfriend. Petite, smart, cute, nice and friendly. Hopelessly stuck on Andy. Guards him jealously.
CLAUDE: 55 - Composer of country tunes and owner of Claudra Records. Kind personality. Looks typical of men from the WW2 generation.
Eager to help budding musicians get started.
JOE: 14 - freshman neighbor of Bill. Short and athletic (5'4"), bright, cocky, very outgoing, a good dancer, and extremely good-looking. Wants to be the Jiants' sound manager.WANDA: 16 - Bill's high school girlfriend. Considered "pleasingly plump." Great sense of humor.
JANET: 16 - Talented junior girl. Cheerleader and accomplished dancer. Must perform a "roaring 20s" flapper dance. Wisecracking friend and "groupie" of the band.MR. DALE: 50 - Popular high school Civics teacher. In charge of the talent show and drives the hayride tractor. Effective at reciting poetry.
PHIL: 20 - Bill's first friend at college. Very thin, huge glasses, accomplished jazz piano player, sense of humor, driven, chain-smoker.MYRA: 19 - Bill's girl friend at college. Intelligent, loyal, steady, petite, cute, and always organized.
Elementary Education major.
MARY RUTH: - 20 - Phil's girlfriend. Fairly tall, rather large-breasted, outgoing, practical, studious music major.MARTIN: - 36 - Bill's father. Factory worker, baseball-player, handsome and soft-spoken but can be stern, good "dad" to 4 kids.PAULINE - Bill's mother. Short, pretty at 35, works part-time, interested in what her kids are doing. Good cook.MIKER: 20 - A DJ at a Peru radio station. SHepherd's the Jiants with radio interviews and sock hops.
RAYMOND - 20 - Bass player who joins the band later on. Flat-topped, dark features, athletic build, excellent musician. ***************************** OTHER MINOR ROLES:
MRS. MADELINE T. SHERIDAN - 60 - Head of the College Music Department. Powerful administrator/ has a hand in every activity, course, and repertoire. Guides each student personally. Large woman with wavy hair and an effervescent personality.
MELVIN - 58 - Grandfather and Justice of the Peace. Short (5'5"), thin, pipe-smoker. Highly opinionated but very wise.
MAE - 55 - Grandmother. Has to work hard in a factory to make ends meet. Super-nice to all her grandchildren. Plump. Enjoys cooking, life in general, and a good laugh.
MR. HOFFMAN - the high school principal. Tall ex-coach. Somewhat of a prude. Clueless as to students' daily lives.
JACK - about 30 - a DJ from WJPS Radio / Evansville
IAN - 19 - Jerry's college roommate from Ireland. Sings folk songs.
DARRELL - 19 - Bill's chain-smoking bosom fraternity brother - also a "wrestling stud."
MR. WATERFIELD - 65 - College Music Theory Teacher. Small man, but authorative, stern & demanding. (Better have your homework done!)MR. ALWELL - 40 - Manager of municipal swimming pool. HATES rock and roll. Constantly griping about "today's corrupted youth." Really out-of-touch.
KAREN, NANCY, STEVE, and JIM - 16 - band "groupies"

HORACE - 50 - Manager of the Marion VFW Lodge. Right out of the 1930s.
MRS. MILLER - 40 - High School Choir teacher. Ambitious and kind. Helps out students with their music and personal problems. Actress must know how to conduct.
BUSTER - In-your-face comedic junior who always seems to be getting in trouble. Class clown, but an A student (He's just bored).
JOHNNY - 15 - Bill's cousin. Expert golfer and would-be rock n' roll singer. Blond, tri-sport, and handsome.
MISS AVALON - 55 - Very straight-laced "old maid" high school English teacher. Stern & cranky.
CONNIE - 18 - senior classmate, friend of Jerry, serious classical pianist
BILLY JOE - 23. A friendly "good-ol-boy" that works in the Bedford quarries.
WILMA JEAN - 25 - Billy Joe's trailor-living sister-in-law and Elvis freak.
RICK AND DAVID - 16 -Two Bosse HS students who befriend the Jiants. (Athletic type)
AUNT PEARL - 53 - Bill's aunt and college landlady. Very sugary personality.
MR. GANDER - 29 - Piano teacher specializing in Beethoven. Intense performer but soft-spoken.
CLAUDETTE - 30 - Swimming pool concession stand manager.
Authoritive & hefty but friendly with all the kids.
ROGER - 27 - Country music singer - style comparable to Dierks Bentley or Alan Jackson. Sings a ballad at the dance.
