About Me

What the hell? Let's face it, you either already know me, or you're just randomly looking at people. In either case you have no real desire to read another sad attempt by someone to make themselves sound cool in a short online description. Which of course is no reflection on you. Your blurb is unlike everyone else's, in your little bit, your true unabashed coolness shines for all to see and even if you tried to hide it, people would still wet themselves in anticipation of getting to know you.As for me, I'll pass on this part.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Whoever really, just one thing, if you request to be my friend and I don't know you, please at least tell me why you want to be my friend. I am not interested in helping you play the "let me amass 80,000 friends" game. People I do know, that's a different story, I'll add you but I probably don't want to talk to you either. Also, I have a special hatred for MySpace porn spammers, they are the deep brown rim-spatter on the unflushed bowl of the world.

Music:

I am not a "music person" I'm more inclined to hear a song that I want to listen to whenever I want and find it. I don't follow bands, I don't keep up with new releases, I'm passive, if I hear it and I like it, I get it.

Movies:

Favorites: Brazil, The City of Lost Children, Dark City, L.A. Confidential, The Four Corners of Nohwere, City Hall, The Crow, Swimming with Sharks, Night of the Living Dead, the Indiana Jones flicks, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, American Beauty of course, so many other movies and though some are bad, offer great.... insights (witty comments are insights damnit). Some part of me will always be willing to drop everything and watch either Joe Vs. The Volcano or Labyrinth.

Television:

Law and Order (including spinoffs), CSI: the original, The Simpsons, Scrubs, South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, the History Channel when it's not the WWII channel, Firefly, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Carnivale, The Office, Dead Like Me, Jane and the Dragon, Between the Lions, yes, Survivor, if only because I wonder at what I would do in such circumstances. Aeon Flux was the best ever. Any show/episode I compose a relatively meaningful monologue about, although no one will ever hear it.

Books:

Notes From the Underground, Neverwhere, Socrates (NOT Plato), The Sandman Graphic novels (My Bible in every sense of the term), Neil Gaiman in general, Pratchett, Dumas, Classic Sci-fi/Horror i.e. Lovecraft, Wells, Vernes, Stevenson, et al. Yes, the Harry Potter series as well as the Narnia Chronicles (except the last one)

Heroes:

Alan Greenspan (for essentially being the economy back in the day), Ghandi, Donnie Darko, Some ex-girlfriends, most old crushes, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., the Zulu, and Cicero to name a few.
