Who is Leilani? Leilani is a talented Hawaiian born producer that is on the upswing and who intend to do major things. Many knowledgeable people are saying after everything is said and done, because of her personality, numerous skills and will...she will certainly leave a stain on the music industries brain. Her role model is Lauren Hill and she would like to duplicate the feats of P. Diddy by utilizing her skills as a rapper, producer and promoter. According to reliable sources, she is headed in the right direction. In the past she has taken music related courses at Houston Community College, focusing heavily in the business side of the industry. Recently she pursued training in Protools at South Union Studios under the tutelage of producer 4-Trey. She has a gift for mixing, arranging, and composing music. She served as an intern for radio station 97.5 specializing in promotions. While serving as promotions and talent scout director for Houston's Own Talent, she did an admiral job. Leilani is wise beyond her years and she is truly a self motivated leader that understands the importance of following before you lead. She does not have a problem being told but under no circumstances can she be controlled. She is a one- of- a- kind, hands on type of person, in other words she likes to do things her way and experience things for her self. She has a mind of her own, but she is unusually low key and that's a great trait. Her story is refreshing to hear and read about because she is so determined to make it. She genuinely, loves and cares a great deal about her friends, but she also knows where to draw the line. In addition to being dedicated to the music industry, Leilani enjoys shopping, traveling and dancing. When her career is over, she would like to be remembered as a God-fearing person that helped make the difference in the careers of others, without neglecting herself!!!!! Below is in Leilani's words: Hi, I'm Leilani one of Houston's female producers. Yes, I represent Houston. I was born in Hawaii, but I was raised in Houston, TX. My father was in the air force stationed in Hawaii, but both of my parents were born and raised in Houston. If you listen to the Hood song, I give a small portion of my history. I'd really rather not speak about my child hood because it 's a very sensitive subject, but listen to my music thats where all my emotions and feelings are expressed. Underneath my smiles there is alot of pain, but I try to focus on whats ahead so I can continue to grow and move forward with my life. Don't get me wrong my past is what made into the woman that I am today and I thank God for that, so I can't forget where I came from. Im one of the realest and friendliest women you could ever meet. It hurts when meeting people that arent real, but of course that's life and that's why I have very few friends and I stay secluded. I think it's great meeting new people but, as soon as God reveals to me the fake, I cut-em loose. I've learned that If you surround yourself with like minded positive people, you will not get held back or hurt mentally. You can work towards a common goal together without negativity. I really don't have time for petty games or unhealthy competition caused by indirect jealousy especially when we are on the same team. I may look innocent, but I see you. It is very disturbing and hurtful, but I prefer not to get violent so I remove myself. No, I can't take credit for that, God removes them out of my life. When you stay true to him, your self and others, God really has his hands on you at all times. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I'm perfect or that I haven't made any mistakes in my life because that would be false. Thanks to GOD and Mr. Malik Rasheed my life was saved, so I owe them my life and that I shall give. I was saved from alot of the dangers that this industry can bring and I know that it's because my heart is pure, genuine and I have alot of love for everyone!!! Well, UNTIL YOU CROSS ME...... Now, back to business on a business level... I specialize in Hip-Hop & R&B tracks. I also produce the music for HOT TV SHOW. Currently, I am not signed to any record labels, but HOT handles all of my promotional and public relation needs. HOT, stands for Houston's Own Talent. The organization was founded by Houston's own Malik Rasheed August 10, 1999. HOT is not a record label nor is it some newly formed management group out to sign artists to contracts with a million hidden strings attached.
