Guilty of being Chris

This is my disposition; I will strive for the truth.

About Me

I really learned everything I needed to know about life from 1980s cartoons like He-Man, Transformers, Thundercats, and GI Joe. And comic books. And metalcore and Swedish melodic death metal bands. And old school punk and rap music, both which have a lot in common with the cartoons, but I digress.
I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do a lot of things. I guess you could say I'm out of step with the world. Minor Threat was right; good guys don't wear white.
I'm an aspiring writer and cartoonist, but the good thing is that I except defeat and know that I will propably never succeed in either field. But that doesn't stop me and if you want to see any of my projects sometime, ask me. I'd also love to do stand up comedy, but the question I keep asking myself is am I really funny?
You can usually track where I've been by the random comic books and CDs. That's a quick overview of me. Most people consider me to be very entertaining, eccentric, and smell good.

My Interests

Comics, Sequential Art, music, television, going to shows, reading, NBA, road trips, comic book toys, animation, wasting time learning pointless things, 80s cartoons

I'd like to meet:

People that aren't pompous assclowns and like to do random things. People who I haven't spoken to in a long time. Someone who has also had the misfortune of having two tires pop on the drive home from a Life of Agony concert. Cool chicks who listen to loud music.

Music:

Andrew WK, Boogie Down Productions, Bjork, Black Flag, Candiria, Dark Tranquillity, the Doors, Elastica, Eighteen Visions, Faith No More, Fugazi, God Forbid, Gorillaz, the Haunted, Hatebreed, In Flames, Iggy Pop, Jurassic 5, James Brown, Killswitch Engage, KISS, Lacuna Coil, Life of Agony, Minor Threat, Misfits, Nada Surf, Old Dirty Bastard, Opeth, Parliament, Public Enemy, Queen, the Ramones, RUN DMC, the Rentals, Seemless, Type O Negative, U2, Veruca Salt, Vision of Disorder, Wu-Tang Clan, Weezer, Yakuza

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Star Wars, Jackie Brown, SLC Punk, Fight Club, Kill Bill I and II, Spider-Man, Fargo, Back to the Future, PCU, Transformers: The Movie, GI Joe: The Movie, The Friday Trilogy, Bubble Boy, Barbershop, Wayne's World. As you can see I have really awful taste in movies.

Television:

Thundercats!!!!!, King of Queens, the Office, Earl, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Still Standing, How I Met Your Mother, Reno 911, any good NBA game, Seinfeld, Futurama, Cheers. I also like anything involving a Muppet, 1980s toy cartoons, Arrested Development, MASH, the Daily Show, Colbert Report, good NBA games and biographies, most documentaries on VH1, and if I had MTV2 I'd propably watch Headbanger's Ball. And if I was Canadian, Trailer Park Boys.

Books:

Comic books. All and then some. Right now I'm really digging the old Giffen/JMD JLA stuff. Anything written by Mark Millar, Frank Miller, vintage Chris Claremont. Lords of Chaos. Books about music scenes. But as far as your fine literature is concerned: Henry Rollins. Lewis Carroll. George Orwell. Edgar Poe. I don't like a lot of fiction, but I love to read about television, music, movies, consumer electronics, sports, and other boring stuff.

Heroes:

Frank Miller, Henry Rollins, Neil Gaiman, Bono, Karl Malone, Chuck D, George Takei, and Sue Simmons. As for those whoi aren't alive, Jim Henson, Jim Morrison, and Jack Kirby.
