We the people...(That means all of us)...

About Me

I pledge allegiance to the earth and to the flora, fauna and human life that it supports, one planet, indivisible, with safe air, water and soil, economic justice, equal rights and peace for all. Witches are Crafty People! Hello! My name is Teresa Marie. Some people call me Marie, some call me Teresa, and I'm sure I'm called a lot of other things too! I was born in New Jersey and lived there until I was 10, then my family moved to Bucks County Pennsylvania. We lived there until I was 15, then we moved to Austin, Texas. I'm the youngest of four children. I have a sister in California, a brother in Aspen, Colorado, and a brother in Austin. I love being 'the baby' of the family. My parents spoil me appropriately! I graduated from Austin High in 1980. My favorite thing to do in High School was to go to concerts, pretty much still is, lol I was pulled up out of the front row onto the stage at a Journey concert by lead singer Steve Perry! We danced and he let me sing the ending to 'Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' with him on stage. I was 18. I saw the Stones in Dallas that summer. Through the years I've seen The Ramones, Jeff Beck, Iggy Pop, The Police, Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Jackson 5, David Bowie, Judas Priest, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Sammy Hagar, Journey, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac, Gary Wright, Bad Company, YES, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elvis Costello, Christopher Cross, Collective Soul, Harry Chapin, The Commodores, Joe Ely, Moody Blues, Styx, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Boston, UFO, Outlaws, and Shake Russel & Dana Cooper countless times. I moved to New York City (SoHo) when I was 19. Went to CBGB's a lot. Never got a shirt, dammit! I moved back to Austin when I was 20 and went to Beauty School. I was a hairdresser for 3 years, still have my license. I married when I was 22. We have three children. We moved to Lumberton, North Carolina and lived there for a year, then to Washington State for 6 months, then back to Austin. I stayed home with my 3 lumps of sugar for 10 years. It's one of the most important things you can do as a Mom, stay home with your kids! There is no excuse not to! We didn't go out to eat much, I didn't get new clothes, shoes, or my favorite thing to buy, purses. We didn't have cable, we went without a lot. You do what you have to do for what is important in your life. They had me :) and I had them. That's most important. When Mason started school I got a job at the school so I'd have the same hours as the kids. I was here in the morning and when they got home from school. I had a little money. I wanted more so I got my CDL and started driving a school bus too. Now I must say that is one of my favorite things to do! I LOVE driving a bus. I couldn't wait to get up in the morning (4:45 am) and go to my bus, sweep it, smell it, (uh huh, weird, I know), fuel it, check the engine...I loved the kids on the bus and they loved me, I think! I'd even stay late to wash it and I took lots of pictures of it. Then I realized that I wasn't home for my kids anymore. I wasn't there when they went to school or got home. So I resigned last May after working for the school district for 6 years. I miss it, I miss the students, I miss the bus, I miss the money, but I gladly gave ALL that up so my children won't miss me and I won't miss them. They'll be gone soon enough, then I can drive the bus again, or do whatever I want. Their Dad and I divorced in 2004, after 20 years of marriage. We're still the best of friends and he sees the kids all the time. He's a great Dad. We have 3 dogs, 10 cats (want a cat?), and some really cool fish in a huge tank! We live way out in the country where it's so quiet and peaceful. I love it! I love to cook, bake, and go to football games to watch halftime! Both my girls are in the band :) Saturdays are for Soccer! Mason loves soccer. I still go to as many concerts as I can possibly afford :) Yes I'm the crazy one up front screaming my head off~
