About Me

I'm a Quaker. Y'know, the oatmeal guy? And no, we're not Amish (hence the using a computer and blogging). I'm a nerd. But I can carry on a conversation without fancy words if my life depends on it. Maybe.
I have sarcastic humor but optimistic life outlook. I read comics but don't think violence is the answer. I'm a conservative that hates guns and a liberal that has never done drugs. I enjoy the simple things, care about the little things, like listening to nothing and everything, and think about the big things.
Jogging is fun, as are movies, reading, and chattin' with friends one on one.Oh, and given the option, I'll take the best analog has to offer over digital. Hoorah for IMAX! Me no like digital projectors! (Just my opinion)
Speaking of opinions, I have plenty. Plus I like writing. So I've become a blogger. There's The MySpace blog is about the oddity that is life in general (and the much needed Quote of the blog) on Fridays & whenever I feel like it The Xanga blog is for more God related, Bible thumpin', religious ponderings. It's new on Mondays & whenever I feel like it Newest of these is Churchiosity on blogspot, where I ponder where I fit in the churches and groups around Washington.
So yes. Opinions abound. Feel free to share yours.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who are spiffy. Other than that;
jogging partners would be swell. nice christian people would be neat. folks that amuse me. Either on accident, or on purpose.

Basically, if you're interesting and don't mind a little heckling back and forth, I'm sure we'll be just peachy. If you have no capacity for original thought or ability to argue your opinions... well... um... we'll just have to see.

adopt your own virtual pet!
Jess told me I should have a llama. I think he's friggin awesome.

Howdy, DC's parents are taking control. Drat. In the same way that Disney bought Marvel and scared me a little bit ago, DC's uber-company, Time Warner, has said that they will be taking over ...

This, that, and some other stuff CCXX (Dahl wit, a sci-Fi chick flick, & family hijinks)

Howdy. This week is a poor kind of week. I was only scheduled 10 hours at SB, and 30 hours at PSC. That's... that's... 40 hours. Madness. So of course I had to pick up a few shifts at the comic...

This, that, and some other stuff CCXIX (Kind speech, another film quirk, and "yer mom" moment)

I've actually had a rather delightful week, so let's get the grim and gritty out of the way. Cue clip to ponder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjF4YjvJLe4 This seems to be quite the talked about enco...

This, that, and some other stuff CCXVIII (100+, Neck deep in comics, & Avatar-y)

Howdy, another quiet week for me. Well, more or less. BUT, I do have a friend who turned 100 day. 100. Dang. I myself don't really have any concept of what it would be like to have been born in 1909. ...

This, that, and some other stuff CCXIV (Frisbee, weddings, and other such sunny activities)

I apologize in advance if this is a little rushed. Brief, if you will. But I have a wedding which I will attend (at pretty much any cost), so darnit if I don't have a little time clock over my head to...
