D.Blake started out in the business 1999 at the age of 17 years old as a club promoter & performer in hometown Rochester, NY putting together show cases an concerts for the local community. After discovering that it will be almost impossible to get the exposure that was sought after D.Blake relocated to Florida in search of stardom an discovery.
Gregory "D"Blake continued to promote shows and concerts and eventually linked up with with some of the biggest bootleggers in the south and became apart of the southern black market were D.Blake would go on promote and sell mix tape Cd's all over the south. Eventually Blake blew up all over south Florida and was given a new name by the streets "THE CD MAN". Blake soon grew out of the stage and went into internship with a regional magazine company distributing over 50,000 magazines a month "Ace Magazine". After being in the mist of so much music industry activity D.Blake met up with Producer Top Cat former manager of the franchise boyz , Trill ville, C Side and former manager of Natural disaster the producer of Soljia Boy- Turn my swag on. D.Blake then went on to become a radio DJ & personality for wjfp 91.1fm covering 150 miles of the south Florida coast. Radio put D.Blake in the position to personally work with many major record labels and artist an breaking many records and artist through radio & record promotions.
After breaking many records and artist Top Cat introduced D.Blake to Man up/ Universal records were D.Blake went on to become one of the labels A&R's working the new Trill ville project witch was a short lived project. Gregory "D" Blake Then went on to another project witch was the G-wood radio Tour featuring "Dem Franchise Boys, 8 Ball 7 Mjg , Slim from 112, Bohagan & more witch was sabotaged then slandered by the worse on line magazine in the business. After being in the business for 10 years doing good business an then to be slandered and falsely accused by fools drove D.Blake to finishing his career as a full time promoter & putting more energy into the management aspect of G-wood entertainment. D.Blake signed management agreements with Platinum recording artist "J SHIN" & Brooklyn Recording artist "CASHMERE" along with producers "MIKE WHO" & "MYSTIC".
