ESQ, the esquizit one, was born and bred in Detroit. A former member of Double OD and currently one-third of Backlash, ESQ brings his style of hip hop from the Planet Motor City to the masses with intent on taking over the world...one eardrum at a time. ESQ has a philosophy simply referred to as "360". In the shape of a circle there is 360 degrees. In the shape of a square, there is 360 degrees. That means "keep your corners locked". Ankh. Don't worry, If you ain't down, you don't understand. It's all love though. ESQ stays grinding, ALL THE TIME. E stays on the beats and stay rhyming. Everything is my influence. There are a few million stories to tell just from my city alone. ESQ started with a 4-man crew called FFC (Fresh Force Crew) in Rosedale Park on the northwest side of Detroit. ESQ then went on to MC for E-Love and DJ Rated R. ESQ was then part of a 3-man crew O.O.D or Double O.D (Out of Detroit) with "the One and Onlee" (now the leader of GOD"S ARMY) and even spent some time with Da Stable. ESQ travelled to LA and joined a group called BACKLASH with Dru Diamond and Joe Capp. Now ESQ is on his own with PMC (Planet Motor City Entertainment). ESQ has collaborations with other hungry MC's on mixtapes across the country. ESQ has been featured on albums by Blaze Man, Big Jersey,Scooter P, Zascant, Storm, Tony J, Ken Williams, The Wyneth Altrows and Marvilus. ESQ has appeared on soundtracks for films and cartoons as well as acting in various national commercials, TV, and films. ESQ is currently working on his 3rd solo project. The other two; "Motor City Tactics" and "The D: Rock City" feature production from ESQ, Scooter P, Jimmy Finks, Lenny K and Ed Turner.
