About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Dark & Simple

I'm from the north of England (Newcastle), and despite rumours, it's not in the least bit grim. In fact I love it up there. Saying that I moved to London eight years ago for work. Currently work in the international division of a record label (Sanctuary Records). Artists that i've been working with over the last year include Morrissey, Idlewild, The Fall and The Cooper Temple Clause. Im also doing a lot of work for Trojan and Rough Trade.I also DJ as part of Sounds Underground. I finished a 16 month residency at Ginglik, Shepherds Bush a few months ago and intend having some time away from DJ'ing before finding a new venue later in the year - possibly. I started off all that time ago playing weird psych, indie and post punk and ended up playing electro, old skool house, post punk and northern soul.I've just joined the Vanilla Swingers - which im very excited about. Hopefully we should be live by September. As it was essentially a studio project we're having to deconstruct the album to work out how to play the thing live. Watch this space.

It would be good to meet up with people in London who have a similar taste. London's such a weird place, millions and millions of people here and we barely speak to one another.I'd especially like to meet James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy from DFA because quite frankly what they've done with a small NY electronic label is inspiring to everyone.
