I'm mostly a book person, not a movie person. I do enjoy really good movies, or bad B-movies. I don't read as much as I would like to(but still about two books a week, even if I need to re-read something), but that's mostly because I can't buy all the books I want and because I'm too lazy to get a library card.I just read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and I'm not going to say it changed my life because I'm not that kind of person. It is however a book that teaches you, really manages to show you another side of life, and that's the kind of book I look for.Don't be a cult snob.Interests in art in general: I really like Coleridge as a poet, and John William Waterhouse and Francis Bacon as painters.
Fellow people from Kingdom of Loathing. I want to start a collection. :)
My music tastes fall into three categories: stuff I can rock to (Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Tool, and rock and metal in general) stuff I can dance to or sing along to (again loads of rock and metal, but also Eels, K's Choice, Alanis Morisette, Gorillaz, The Streets, Oasis) and music that just makes me happy (indie music in general, Decemberists, The Cure, KT Tunstall).
Anime anything from deep, high quality stuff like Grave of the Fireflies to just amazingly drawn stuff like Blood: The Last Vampire (yes I know it's CGI), old film noirs, SF, all the classics and anything independent. Really bad Mel Brooks movies like Young Frankenstein or Space Balls. Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Muppets movies and shows, especially the Swedish Chef. Also tv series like Bottom, Coupling, Hertenkamp, Blackadder. A quiz hosted by Stephen Fry called Quite Interesting, or QI for short. Have I Got News For you, Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Futurama.High fantasy, epic stuff like Vampire Hunter D or Star Wars has its own, particular attraction to me.
See Movies.
Moab is my Washpot and anything else by Stephen Fry, the Ender saga by Orson Scott Card, anything by Terry Pratchett, Neal Stephenson(especially The Diamond Age, Neil Gaiman(anything basically). Roger Zelazny's Amber saga, anything fantasy or science fiction based, Jane Eyre, English literature. Oscar Wilde, more as a person as a whole than as a writer. C.S. Lewis, especially the few, largely unknown, short sci-fi stories. Three great musicals : Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cats and Chicago.I'm a vegetarian but I do eat fish and invertebrates. I really love vegetables and dairy products. I love experimenting with food and will basically eat anything. Best foods would be fries and ravioli with pumpkin filling, and stracchino and pear ice cream (my best friend's Italian, it rubs off I guess).Interests I forgot about but have stolen off duefiori's profile: Colin Mochrie is indeed the funniest man alive, and I have a slightly bigger chance at getting his babies. Whose Line Is It Anyway. Speaking of comedians: Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey.
Stephen Fry. Totally.
