About Me

i'm 22, girl / cancer to the bones. i'm a nurturer, i love to help people. i work at a dialysis unit for fmcna, and i love it. my coworkers are amazing, i could never have asked to work with better people. and my patients (most of them) are like having a giant exteneded family. i have been there since may of 2004, and i plan on being there for quite a long time. i am currently enrolled at hcc in the prenursing program. it's tough but it's worth it. (plus my company is paying for it - so it's all good.) in my free time (though there isn't much of it) i just like to chill at home with my man and our 3 cats. or hang out with my few close friends. there may not be many i consider close, but the ones i do make up for it in quality. they are amazing, not to mention each and every one of them is talented in their own way. my little world may not seem like much, but it's mine and it's all i need!

My Interests

space, anything having to do with astronomy or astrology. photography - taking photos and tweaking them in photoshop, art in all forms - music, drawing, painting, writing. human anatomy. the human defect - people watching. i love to find the inner person behind the front. i am completely infatuated with the bass. i can't play, but when it's plucked and slapped just right it gives me chills. animals - cats mostly. i have 3 and they are more entertainment than anything you can pay for. learning - in my own funny ways. school - it's hard but it's worth it.

CKY, alice in chains, incubus, a perfect circle, oysterhead, ministry, tool, sneaker pimps, tricky, primus, boards of canada, type o negative, peeping tom, nirvana, pearl jam, faith no more, autechre, bungle, the cranberries, hooverphonic, bree sharp, mazzy starm fiona apple, tori amos, jewel, natalie merchant, nelly furtado, (almost anything from the 90's), of course preschool fight champ , anything involving les claypool, mike patton or maynard.

Movies:

fear and loathing, beeny and joon, pirates 1 & 2, pretty much anything with johnny depp. i also adore anything ethan hawke is in. eternal sunshine, benchwarmers, napoleon dynamite, hero, crouching tiger, and house of flying daggers. of course the cult classics like natural born killers, true romance... any movie directed by quentin tarantino or oliver stone.

Television:

only the tv shows i have on dvd (since i don't have cable)= invader zim, family guy, aqua teen.

Heroes:

myself. and anyone else who loves life and themselves for who they are. that's true power.
