We come from real parents, grow up in ordinary ways, and often come from ordinary backgrounds of society. Fr. Amaro is no different. A former night club and stage performer at night, day-time jeweler and watchmaker, and parish music director. People often think that "experience" is a "good thing" for a priest to have. While that might seem like a good thing, remember, a doctor doesn't have to get sick to cure an illness. And, illness doesn't always supply what's needed to be a doctor. As the old saying goes, "Experience is the best teachers for fool, wise men don't need it."Still, the "suff of life" is very real. And, for the fun of it, you can see these pictures that show Fr.
