Miss Mean Manners

You know, really I have very good manners, my mama taught me well, so take notes!

About Me

Yeah, so I know the picture is tiny. I'm only mediocre when it comes to computer knowledge and usage. I'm hip, I'm cool, I'm 21! (If you knew that was a Kids in The Hall reference, 10 cool points for you!!!). I become more isolated as I grow older, which I'm still trying to figure out if that's ok, because it's hard to not fit in. I'm that missing puzzle piece, I guess (or the retarded one that doesn't fit). I'm slowly becoming more addicted to this thing, damn technology and it's lightning speed ways! But if you're willing to read this, I promise to try and make it interesting...

My Interests

Music, politics, Gore (you know, blood and entrails, but I would vote for Al, even if he didn't invent the internet), funny things, cars (those produced 1969 and before)the stupidity of humans in general and how they manage to organize themselves when they are indeed so stupid

I'd like to meet:

All the members of the Kids in the Hall (they're SO funny, buy their DVD's), Iggy Pop (because he's one crazy mofo, and influential), a politician that is still accountable, or at least keeps in mind that he/she does have voters to answer to (not that most Americans are smart enough to care anyway), someone willing to give me some money (who doesn't want free money?), The Koffin Kats (Vic is hot), someone interested in talking current events with me who I'm not talking AT but WITH, someone with my ticket out of small-town America

Music:

The Black Keys, The Clash, X, Pink Floyd, The Horrorpops, The Koffin Kats, Iggy Pop (and The Stooges too), Interpol, Early Eighties Punk, The Damned, Tiger Army, Nekromantix, Queens of the Stone Age, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., Type O Negative, The Misfits (With Glenn), Rockabilly Riot (the album and the Brian Setzer album, they are not the same), Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Doves, Standards(Sinatra and the like), but I am open to all things, except new music on the radio, because all that manufactured-straight-from-the-big-label stuff blows my ass (although ass to mouth can feel good)

Movies:

I don't watch enough to have a strong opinion, except I don't prefer chick flicks, but they still make me cry. A good bloody horror movie is good too, splattering brains make me laugh.

Television:

Kids in the Hall (even though I watch it on DVD), The Daily Show, Antiques Roadshow, Nova (PBS kicks ASS!), CNN, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy (oh how I love trivia)

Books:

I like magazines more, because the information is short and quicker to read through than a book; I read through enough books for school. And besides, I get my best snippits of useful conversation fodder from magazines, although it does come from books too, but nonfiction only please

Heroes:

I have no heroes; I look up to few

My Blog

So maybe this is the future social studies teacher coming out...

So I'm at this party over the weekend (I will keep whose it was confidential, but some of you know) and there is this kid talking about being enlisted in the Army. I'm not even going to get started on...

You shouldn't talk to strangers with candy...

Why is it that people I don't even know want to be my friend? I mean, yeah I'm cool and all, but I don't even KNOW these people. For God's sake, I barely talk to the people I have as friends on this s...

The times are changing like the setting of the sun

Isn't that such a poetic title? It doesn't have any real significance, but it was written on the fly and I was pretty impressed with myself. Anyway, I'm getting my hair cut today, and I'm kinda nervou...

I couldn't think of a good title

So I started this blog and realized it was coming across as a cry for help, a self-pitying blog, and who wants to read those? The last thing I want is for my friends to think "God, what a whiner Jessi...

Sailing the seas of change

Well, an important era of my life has come to a close. Aaron and I are no longer together. Not that this has been long-standing information, this happened only Wednesday. It was time for us to part. T...

So, since I know I have such a loyal reader base (or maybe you guys have nothing better to do than read what my crazy-ass has to say), and it's been a while since I've wrote a blog, I thought I'd post...

Let's Arrest the Administration!

So I was thinking, as I tend to do often, can we arrest the president and his cronies? It's obvious that I am personally a dissenter, as I have been for years now, but I think that these people are re...

So I don't qualify as a psychopath! Yea for me!

I watched this program the other night on serial killers and this psychologist/psychiatrist's list of psychopaths, ranging people from level 1 to level 22 depending on various personality traits. Thos...
