I'm so complex, it's funny...really

About Me

"What can you say about loneliness except that it sucks? Most of the time I'm okay, but every once in a while I wake up in the morning and I'm so lonely I can't stand it."Maybe physical intimacy isn't always about touching. Maybe it's also about being able to sit next to someone at dinner and not care if they take something off your plate or reach across you for the salt. Maybe it's about being able to sprawl out on the floor and read a book in the same room with someone who's grading papers and muttering about incompetent boobs who couldn't write a good paper if their lives depended on it.' Maybe it's about sharing the same space with another person and not going crazy because you can't get away from them."That's it, I guess: true intimacy is really just the run of the mill, day to day stuff that happens without thinking - thousands of simple, meaningless, comfortable ways you can be close to someone, never dreaming how bad you'll feel when you wake up one morning with it all gone."

My Interests

Camping, baseball (spectator..GO YANKEES), movies, broadway plays, listening to music (recently have taken up the guitar...ask me to play something in six months).

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who treats me with respect. I ask nothing more and expect nothing less.

Music:

60's music, 70's music, but really love the 80's music. I also like the curent stuff *dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, and yes I admit it...I own Justin Timberlake's CD and I'm not afraid to say it. HAHAHA.

Movies:

Lord of the Rings (I can't wait to see how it ends), any movie by the Cohen Brothers, Tom Hanks movies (I can't believe he was in "Bosom Buddies"..go figure) Million Dollar Baby, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Narnia: The Chronicles of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, True Grit, Robin and the Seven Hoods, Office Space, Crash, Hotel Rawanda, Mysterious Skin, Latter Days, Brokeback Mountain, Back to Manhattan (small independent film), On Golden Pond, Mr. Roberts, Marx Brothers Films, Abbott & Costello films ...stick around for more. I am an Academy Awards geek. Ask me a question...go a head, I dare you.

Television:

The Simpsons, Family Guy, The West Wing, Law & Order (the original), 24, Boston Legal, Saturday Night Live, Full Metal Alchemist, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, South Park, Case Closed, Forensic Files, LOST, Desperate Housewives, House, The War at Home, Christmas in Washington (around the holidays of course), Crumbs, Spongebob Squarepants...more to follow.

Books:

Reading in general. Put a good book in front of me I'm hooked. "Leave Myself Behind" by Bart Yates, "Avoidance" by Michael Lowenthal, "Brokeback Mountain" by Annie E. Poulx. Awaiting the seventh and final year in the Harry Potter series.

Heroes:

Anyone who can tkae the information before and come to their OWN conclusion. Not mindless drones.
