Hot Free LayoutsFamily History written by MAMA MIA CAPONE GM of our family.While there are a number of people still who still remember the Capone Family being established, nobody seems to remember the date or even the month. Based on my personal experiences, it had to have been on or before August 1, 2003, though how much before is not known. Though some have claimed that another Capone Family preceded us in TSO, this is highly unlikely. We know this because of the research that was done prior to the Family being given its name. Various people were sent to each of the cities to see if the Capone name had been used by someone in that city. After polling all the cities, they found the name was still available and Evita Montana Carbone gave us the name Capone
Evita was married to Pedro Montana back then (Pedro was the founder of the Montana Family) and nobody seems to remember why it was that she decided to found another family (actually two more, the Capone and the Carbone Families). Maybe they were having marital problems, maybe it was meant to be a coup (if someone out there knows, please fill me in), but whatever the reasons shortly after the Capone Family was founded, Evita turned it over to her sister, PreciousBella Montana (later, PreciousBella Capone) who was our first Godmother. We were one of the first families to belong to the Blazing Falls Syndicate, leaving it only because the Family was retired during the winter of 2003/4.
Bella was GM when I joined the family on August 30, 2003, and continued to lead it until about November. During this time there were two attempts to take over the Family from the inside and oust PreciousBella as the GM; both failed miserably. When Bella married Kai Corleone she decided she wanted to live in FF and be the Corleone Family Godmother so she appointed our Underboss, Angela Capone to be the Godmother of the Capones.Angela soon met the charming Jerald di Ricchezi and no one was surprised when they decided to marry. Because she, too, wanted to be godmother of her new husbands family, Angela made an agreement with the original founder for Evita to take the family for safekeeping. Nearly everyone had followed either Angela to MF or Bella to FF and the Capone Family was gone except for me.
The family remained inactive until the spring of 2004, when Angela and her husband divorced and she decided to resurrect the Capone Family. At that time the Family was based in MF (where we were at war with di Ricchezi and Firenze; no it was not a friendly divorce lmao), and in BF. When it opened, we expanded to the newest city, Dragon's Cove. The Capones also became part of the Alliance of Families (AFZ) during this time.
The fun was short-lived, though, as Angela decided to leave tso and go to Second Life in mid-October 2004. Her intention was to retire the Family again, but she didn't count on me and a few others wanting the family to remain active. We moved to Jolly Pines in October of 2004 and Angela appointed me Godmother shortly afterwards. Though we remained in BF during that time, also, it was i JP that we mostly played.By the spring everyone had gone to Second Life and they just werent coming back anymore so I asked Vixxen Gambino if she would "protect" the Capone name while I went to visit my children in Second Life. After a short visit, I decided to stay and returned to TSO only to formally retire the Family (once again leaving it under the protection of others)
After the Family was retired for the second time, I only returned to TSO on rare occasions. One of those occasions I met Blaze who had just started his own Capone Family. Id read an article about him in tsoe and while I wasnt thrilled that hed taken my name, he seemed bright and articulate and I wanted to meet him. The young man impressed me more than I can say when he offered to return the name to me and took the Cavelli name, instead, for his lovely family.
And the rest...shall we say...is becoming history......
