Vanessa Martinas was born on February 3, 1990 in Paterson, New Jersey. She is currently residing in Miami, Florida. She is known to many as a hard-working and dedicated young woman. She is ambitious in her career as a singer, songwriter, and actress by putting maximum effort in her work. Vanessa has been applauded for her performances and her uncanny sense of comedic timing.
She began writing songs at the age of 9. At the age 11 she started to take Drama classes at her school. She was involved with a lot of productions at her school. Some were THE JESTER'S SWORD, which was taken to a Junior Thespian Competition and won a couple awards for. Another was ANNIE where her role was one of the orphans. At the age of 14 she told her parents she wanted to do acting professionally. She got an agent and began going to auditions, the first one of them being for the Disney Channel. In June 2006 she went into the recording studio for the first time to record a demo song. The song was "Things I'll Never Say" by Avril Lavigne. Then in July 2006 she began teaching herself to play the guitar as a hobbie. In July 2007 she began working as an extra on the hit series BURN NOTICE, which is on the USA Network.
In addition to being a gifted young actress, Vanessa enjoys volleyball, softball, swimming, and dancing. She loves to sing but is more focused on acting now.
