I am interested in creating clothes that reach beyond the realms of fashion and fashionability.I believe clothes are one of the most intimate objects in our day to day lives - they touch our skin, asorb our scent, they experience our physical and emotional journeys. This I belive is their great power - their soul (for want of a better word) To remember, to record and retell the stories they have shared with us. To make us feel warm and carressed, powerful and strong, desirable and desired. Think of a loved ones sweater, the way it smells and feels the memory of that person held in the garment. Or your favourite dress - the one that makes you feel good, the one you always turn to to pick you up - this is the power of the soul of clothes.In creating clothes i try to remember this power, creating clothes that come from a process of design evolution and thought rather than trend analysis or market predictions. Clothes that will become part of their wearers lives, becoming part of their story, remebering and retelling the jourenys they have shared
