Dj/Producer Miguel Machuca aka MIO MUZIK began his musical journey living in his home country of Colombia. As his musical tastes began to lean towards the electronic music, Miguel and his family moved to the United States to try and have an improved livelihood. While in the U.S, Miguel managed to learn the language, and thats when his whole carrier started.
At the age of 15, Miguel fell in love with the Electronic genre, and sounds of TIESTO. Inspired by TIESTO's work, Miguel started to make beats with the help of a cheap software. As he got more involved into the music and the production of tracks, he became to gather more equipment that would help his music sound better. About 2 years after his first software, Miguel had improved his sound and started this page with the help of a friend.
The name MIO MUZIK, did not come in the picture after 2005, when he became known for his track "She walked away". In the first two weeks after the music was added to his page, it had already gotten more then 1000 plays, leading him to the "Burnout Contest". After the contest was over MIO MUZIK was ranked 53 in a competition of 8500 bands and producers. About 3 months after the competition was over, MIO MUZIK was already posted as the best producer of the week in the Garageband.com web site, making his track one of the best five of the year.
MIO MUZIK got more creative with his arrangements and by the begining of 2008 MIO MUZIK was invited to the Dj list, where in only 3 weeks he had moved up the ladder more then 150 thousand spots, pushing him on the top 1000 Dj/Producers in the world.
In Feb. of 2008, MIO MUZIK was invited by Coast2Coast Records and Magazine to be the first trance producer to close a mix tape, and his work was already published to the public less then 2 months after that.
As his melodic sound continues to expand he practices new material on a daily basis. MIO MUZIK is a multitalented producer that has a diverse sound which can get any dance floor moving till all hours of the night.
