About Me

I am happily married to a wonderful man by the name of Daniel. He's my Psych Prof Rockstar. I dance anywhere at any time. I passionately hate bananas. I have a daily hug quota that must be met. I know and believe that the best week of the year is the week spent at MDA camp. I talk in my sleep. I intend to visit every country on earth before I die. I think that freckles are beautiful. I find joy in Mozart. I have run out of room on the walls for paintings...

My Interests

Living an epicurean lifestyle on a spartan budget... I LOVE grocery shopping, cooking, eating good food, drinking good wine, and taking in art, music and books.

I'm really grooving on living the urban life in Detroit, although in a counter cultural way. (Yes, I sold my car. Yes, I use public transportation. And, yes, we downsized to a tiny loft.) It is a beautiful thing to be able to walk to the DIA, the public library, the science museum, Orchestra Hall, or the local microbrewery in 10 minutes or less. It is a slightly less beautiful thing to live across the street from a modern art museum (mocadetroit.org), but that's just because I'd like to be able to get in and out of my own apartment on gala nights... something that current parking conditions do not allow.

Places you are just going to have to visit if you ever find your self in Motown: The Eastern Market, Motor City Brewing Co., Vicente's, Fox Theater, Garden Bowl, Sweetwater Tavern, Jacoby's.

I'd like to meet:

High on the new list: Christopher Walken.

Music:

Shawn Clark, you rock my world!

Movies:

Television:

The Daily Show (along with NPR) is the only news source I trust. Alton Brown (Good Eats) also rocks my world. Project Runway is ludicrous and wildly addictive.

Books:

So, I've finished Jane Eyre, The Fountainhead, Anna Karenina, and moved back to the old standbys... The novels that I have read and re-read for the past 10 years or so. I need new books! I need suggestions! Please message me with the title and author of your favorite book. Maybe it will be my new favorite too.

Thank you.

Heroes:

Anyone who is a little bit outrageous all of the time... you know who you are.
