St. Catherine Laboure

About Me

I was born May 2, 1806 in France. I had wonderful saintly parents but sadly my mother died when I was nine. Our Blessed Mother became my Mother that day. I had a devotion to the Eucharist, God and the Our Mother. One night I had a dream a priest told me I would work with the sick and dying, and although I tried to run from these things, he said God's Will was done. I didn't know who this priest was, but I found out later it was St. Vincent de Paul.
I became a postulant in 1830 in the hospice of the Daughters of Charity at Catillon-sur-Seine. Three months later I went to Paris, to enter the Seminary at the Mother House of the Daughters of Charity.
I began having visions and finally three Glorious visions of Our Lady. She told me three separate times about constructing a beautiful medal consisting of Her image on a large globe. You can see it if you go into my pictures. Those who wear it are given special Graces.
I did not do the deeds of greater saints than I and I never performed a miracle. I am humbled Our Lady chose me to give the world the Miraculous Medal. Please read more about it, wear it, and believe that Mary is your Heavenly Mother as well.
She is waiting for you.
