WELCOME TO SIDEWINDER
SIDEWINDER is another one of those fansites that has popped up on myspace out of nowhere. I decided to create this fansite, mainly to bring fans of Avenged sevenfold together, but also to make one strong point- THERE ARE NO FAKE FANS. It started on the night when almost everyone stayed up to be the first people to watch Avenged Sevenfolds 'SEIZE THE DAY' video. I kept seeming the same comment on their page from someone, I cant remember who now, but they were rambling on about wanting to beat up one of their 'friends' for being a fake fan.
That got me thinking. What exactly makes a 'real' fan? Is a real fan someone who owns the majority of A7x's merch? Someone who goes to all their shows? Someone who spends all their money on anything with Avenged sevenfold on it? If so, what does that make the people who cant afford that stuff. Just because they don't have as much money, does that make them a fake fan? Just because they don't know the band members' names or the lyrics/name of every one of their songs, does that make them fake? NO. Avenged sevenfold is a band. Their passion is making music. Our passion is listening to it. Anybody who truely loves their music, is classed as a fan in my eyes. Not how much you know abut them. Not how much merch you have. It's about the music, and I created SIDEWINDER to make people realise that. To get it into peoples heads. Fans are meant to unite, not tear eachother apart.
We're here to get rid of that divide in our A7x community. We're here to show the world that we cant be broken. We're here because we love everything that Avenged sevenfold stands for, everything they create for us. We're here for, and because of that band.
