Jens Lehmann

About Me

Jens has been in fine form since last season's FA Cup Final, when he was undoubtedly Arsenal’s man-of-the-match after a string of first-class saves and a decisive stop from Paul Scholes which settled the penalty shoot-out in Cardiff. The Germany international has kept goal behind a dozen different defenders in 2005/06 but has risen to the challenge. His experience, shot-stopping ability and safe handling has been vital to Arsenal side which has struggled at times, particularly away from home.Perhaps Jens' best performance of the season was at Anfield, where he made three first-class saves and denied Steven Gerrard from the penalty spot before conceding a late winner. Nonetheless, that display should enhance his claims of being named as German No 1 at the World Cup this summer.Jens has been at Highbury since the summer of 2003 and lost just three out of 66 Premiership games in his first two years at Arsenal. He won the UEFA Cup and the Bundesliga during his time in Germany.

Mr. Referee, sir, but you made the wrong descision. The red card was enough, but the penalty? No way. We did come back though. And I was glad to be part of that wonderful goal. This game wasn't as easy...

Arsenal 2 - Manchester Utd 1

Wonderful scoreline, yes? It wasn't just because of me. It was because of determination and our "never give up attitude." Even if we're down, we come back. Before, we would just tie. Now, we know how t...

Blackburn 0 - Arsenal 2

The first few minutes looked to turn Blackburn's way. Especially when Gilberto got sent off.I am sorry, referee, but you made a horrible descision. Just like Wenger and Pardew, Gilberto was provoked. ...

The Liverpools

Well, we all know the result of these games. 9 goals in two games. I do have to say that we all played very well. But really, it all came down to the defence and the younger players.First off, Aliadie...

Arsenal 2 - F.C. Porto 0

Great result. All I can really say. Porto never really attacked well and when we went 1-0 up, they could not do anything because our game was so much faster. Gallas can't play against Charlton. But th...

Arsenal 1 - Manchester United - 0

Like the title? I do. Very good result today for us. At the beginning, for some reason, Graham Poll yellow carded me. He thought I picked up the ball outside the box. I think I know what I am doing, M...
