I am here for Friends

About Me

I love God. I love my family. I love music. I love to lead worship.
More specifically, I'm incredibly blessed to be married to the woman God made for me. Kelly is incredible. We do just about everything together. Also, I have the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen. Josie will be a year old in April.
For a living, I lead worship. Personally, I feel I've been made to do a couple things...worship God and play music. The fact that I've been afforded the opportunity to do both astonishes me. I'm incredibly thankful.

My Interests

The musician in me shows through in most everything I do. I love to sing and play guitar, write songs, work in my recording studio. Fortunately, my wife shares many of those interests. I like to spend a lot of time with my family. Kelly and I like to go fishing, watch movies, and spend hours just looking at our beautiful little girl. Also, I'm working on a master's in counseling. Despite that I wouldn't call all the work fun, it is an interest and I enjoy learning. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, University of Alabama football.

I'd like to meet:

Friends, Worship leaders

Music:

Delirious is my favorite band. I also like Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin, The Afters, my friends Spur58 (Jimmie Ingram is my hero), David Crowder, Sister Hazel, U2, Journey. Too many more to list. Also, as a musician myself, I'd have to say I really love ASL music...after all, I've invested so much of myself into it. Check us out at myspace.com/aboveseelevel.

Movies:

Gladiator (my favorite movie of all time), Dances with Wolves, Batman Begins, Seabiscuit, Lord of the Rings

Television:

Seinfeld (I'm a huge fan, saw him in Birmingham-hilarious), Alabama football, Lost, The Office (quite possibly the next Seinfeld)

Books:

I love anything by C. S. Lewis...the way he thinks blows my mind, I wish I thought like that. Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, Whitney; Pathway to Freedom, Begg; In the Eye of the Storm, Lucado; John MacArthur Commentaries on the Bible; What Christ Thinks of the Church, Stott; Hebrews

Heroes:

My Dad, hands down. Let me tell you why. My dad owned a business as I grew up. However, he never became immersed in his responsibilities at work. He always made my mom and me a priority over anything else. And he didn't do so begrudgingly, be enjoyed us. I can't remember one time he was selfish, but he always sought to serve my mom and me. I want to be just like him to my family.
