About Me
Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Jugg began rapping and producing when he was just 13 years old, calling himself "The Lyrical Juggernaut." Inspired by the soul era of the 60's and 70's, including Otis Redding, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, among others, Jugg grew up listening to rap artists such as Redman, Canibus, Jay-Z, and Biggie, all of which influenced him to become the lyricist and musician he is today.
Since then, Jugg has developed the foundation for a phenomenal and multifaceted career in the music industry. He attended Hampton University where he first learned his way around a studio, and eventually moved on to earn his Studio Engineering Certification at the Recording Workshop School of Audio and Music Production. He became proficient in both hardware and software recording, as well as production equipment. From there on it has been music history!
Known for his melodic tracks and raw beats, Jugg has done everything from producing club bangers and ballads for notable musicians, to becoming a solo finalist in the national talent competition Urban Idol. His vast catalog of writing, engineering, and production credits (including hip-hop, r&b, alternative rock, gospel, and more), truly exhibits his unparalleled diversity allowing him to delve into any genre in almost any capacity.
Jugg currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he produces for several indie and major artists, and also raps with one of ATL’s hottest groups Soulz of the South.
