(Beanscene, St Andrews)Clare Cairns is a twenty three year old Scottish singer and songwriter from Edinburgh.In April 2006 she set up her own company called Performing Live Music, where she manages her live performances. Clare has played professionally in a number of venues in and around Edinburgh including; The Liquid Rooms, The Arc, The Teviot, Cabaret Voltaire, OddFellows, The Pleasance Theatre and Whistle Binkies. Most recently Clare was one of the five finalists (out of thousands of bands and artists who applied) to perform at the Forth One to Watch Awards competition in Novemember 2008. As well as Forth One, Clare's music has also touched the hearts of many local and community radio stations including Edinburgh's Leith fm, Glasgow's Sunny Govan and Edinburgh's Blackdiamondfm (107.8fm), who not only play her music regularly but also featured her as their "LOCAL HERO OF THE WEEK", where her single 'SUCH IS' was played during drive time at the start of July 2008. Clare received an extra 4000 hits on her MySpace within 5 days! The Evening News and other local newspapers have also taken an interest in Clare and her music. At the beginning of 2008 The Evening News featured her on the front page of their weekender section (an article which totalled over 1000 words!) They continiously follow her success and in October 2008 they featured her as their "Ten Questions" star. In the summer of 2008 Clare also toured around Scotland, bringing her music to many popular BeanScene stores including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and St Andrews.
